"Always a great place to stay"
I have been staying at the Hyatt Centric (new name, old name Hyatt Miracle Mile) since it opened several years ago. The staff is well trained, the rooms are always clean and comfortable and have a 3 meal service restaurant with room service. The bar is accomodating to all palates with specialty craft beers and unusual liquors that you may not find at many bars. Very near (walking distance) enough different restaurants where you never need a cab.
"Excellent location, great service and nice property"
This is an excellent hotel. Property is top notch. Location is perfect just off the Mag Mile. Staff all really cared for me as a guest to have a great stay. Great food and beverage experiences. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Many good amenities.
"Enjoyed our 43rd anniversary"
Had a wonderful time celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary along with spending time with family at our nieces graduation. Close to shopping, 20 minute walk to Navy Pier. Forget a car to much trouble just wear running shoes and walk everywhere.
"Should have been told..."
Hyatt should have told me the hotel was sold out before assigning me to a special needs room. Premium prices for a modified experience. Disappointing. Manager never returned multiple calls. Okay, so I need another few words...
"A great stay - large room & excellent service"
I attended a small conference at the Hyatt and it turned out to be a great stay. Check in was effortless, I was given a large corner room (1014 - I assume all "14" rooms are the same) with a large sitting area and bathroom and the staff were always seeking ways to help during my stay (including several emails). The rooms have some excellent small touches - motion sensor lights under the nightstand which lights the way for late night bathroom visits, earplugs if street noise is too much (like anywhere in Chicago sirens are likely to go off at any time of day) and free bottled water. I found the room to be quiet, it was very comfortable and I enjoyed two good night's sleep. There is a large lounge on the second floor (with decent food and a great selection of local beer) and decent workout facilities. My only beef was you couldn't take the elevator straight down to the ground floor (reception is on #2) necessitating an elevator change - somewhat inconvenient.
