Hotel is about 15 minutes drive from airport. Nice and clean hotel with lots of facilities. Nice pool view from room and very friendly service. A very comfortable stay thanks to room attendant Marlomel and manager Bryan.
"Excellent stay at New World"
First time stay at New World Manila Bay Hotel and was very impressed! Customer service was excellent and all staff members were helpful and friendly. The facilities are good, the fireplace restaurant was delicious! Would definitely come back if i was to visit Manila again.
"My stay in room 1019 very satisfying and service make me feel comfortable"
I arrive here last Sunday night and so far I'm happy with the service. I start with my check in at the 10th floor. The man who assist me around 5-6pm Sunday the 15th Jan 2017 was very polite, helpful, knowledgeable - he explained the why, how and when were things required my stay and friendly. My room service from the day 1 up to now is up to standard. I met him today and he introduce himself as CJ Catangay. Very polite, industrious and hard working man. His attention to details.when cleaning was impressive. Today I had issue with my WIFI and a man called Cedrick at Concierge come to the rescue. He help me to get in and get WIFI access which very important for someone working here from overseas. His very friendly, accommodating, polite and his knowledge in internet is excellent. Overall from reception ground and 10th, lounge, my room, internet access, market cafe and the entrance is I may say satisfying. They all make me feel comfortable which results to a pleasant stay,
"Very good hotel in favorite Malate"
We usually stay at the Pan Pacific Manila a block away, but wanted to give New World Manila Bay a try. The neighborhood is Malate, which is one of our favorite in Manila. It’s much more indicative of real Manila than staying in Makati or similarly aesthetically-pleasing-but-boring areas. Plus, Malate is a bit more exciting since it still retains the red-light district trappings of a not-too-distant past. As for the hotel.. we got a Premier Bay View King Suite. Amazing view of Manila Bay, the sunsets are just perfectly beautiful. The suite was really big for just 2 people, but not complaining LOL. Really great bathroom, great shower, tub, etc. Our deal included access to the Residence Club. We used it all the time! Breakfast and cocktails 6-8pm. It is so much better than the Market Café downstairs, esp for breakfast. There were very few who would dine at the Residence Club so we really enjoyed that, quiet and private. The staff at the club were super nice and accommodating- I was always reminded of the great hospitality that Filipinos are known for. We also enjoyed other amenities offered by the hotel. The pool was really nice, big, clean and not too chlorinated. It was perfect. The fitness center/gym was also very good and had lots to offer. The changing room/restroom for the fitness center is pretty amazing. The business center is inside the fitness center, and I was able to use that to print out some items. Very convenient! We did not go into the casino, but then again, we’re just not fans of cigarette smoke so not a loss for us. We also tried Li Li Chinese restaurant, in the hotel. There was a 30% discount off our bill for staying at the hotel. We were surprised at how good the food was at Li Li!! We always assume the worst when it comes to hotel restaurants, but Li Li is a very good and highly recommended! Some of the best Chinese food we’ve ever had! We used Uber quite often but when we tried taxi, they did not seem to know where New World Manila Bay is located. Be advised that it used to be a Hyatt perhaps a year or so ago, so that is what some taxi drivers are familiar with. There were some kinks in the beginning of our 6 nights stay, like Market Café not having us included for free breakfast on first day, and also housekeeping not cleaning our room on first day. But after I complained, everything was fixed and no problems afterwards. I really enjoyed checking in and out at Residence Club instead of lobby downstairs, very convenient. The biggest disappointment for me was the Market Café – just terrible breakfast items and selection. I ended up just ordering eggs and getting bacon, even as they had hundreds of items on display. Thank goodness for the Residence Club! Love that they actually have Filipino dishes such as adobo and tapa and bangus available for breakfast!! This is the reason we’re in the Philippines.. to enjoy everything Filipino!! Overall, we really enjoyed out stay at New World Manila Bay. The location is perfect. We walked to Rizal park. Manila Bay and Baywalk is a block away. There is a Robinsons Manila a couple of blocks away. Tons of Japanese/Korean/Middle Eastern/European/Filipino restaurants. And to us, the best neighborhood in Malate. We’ll definitely be back!
"New World Manila Bay Hotel, a Star in the Philippines!"
The New World Manila Bay Hotel is truly an exceptional establishment. From start to finish, their staff never cease to amaze. Our airport transfer driver is one amazing man, suffering with us the nightmare that is the customs bureaucracy in order to help us clear our dog for import. We had arrived for pick-up at the airport and then had to shuttle between terminals to clear customs. By the time we reached the hotel 4 hours later, he was still all smiles and made sure all of us were in good shape. Carlos, the duty manager, checked us in and took care of us and our dog. He even arranged for us to be moved to another room so it would be more accessible to the staff entrance which we needed to go through in order to bring our dog out of the hotel for his walks. His attention to detail and guest-centredness deserve praise. Jerric assisted us with all our luggage and was more than willing to do me the favour of walking my dog and I to Manila Bay to familiarise us with the location. He even gave tips on the best places to eat. He is truly an asset to the team. Duty manager Cef is a godsend. He went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us with all of our concerns. Nothing was too big or too small and he always offered to help with anything and everything we were concerned with. He kept me updated on our room change and when we were checked into another room, he personally ensured that everything was taken care of. Ben, also a duty manager, made special arrangements to help us get a muzzle so we could lead our dog on a leash instead of having to keep moving him into and out of his kennel. That really saved us a lot of hassle! Boom and Jeff helped us in moving our dog while in his kennel when we had to walk him. Boom has a quiet demeanour that hides an unexpected warmth. Jeff's youthful cheer would brighten anyone's day. It was truly a joy interacting with them and they also went out of their way to help us. Aris assisted us in getting the muzzle from Robinson's and even delivered it personally to our room. That simple act saved our dog and us a lot of grief! Bryan and Marlomel from housekeeping also deserve special recognition for keeping our room in pristine condition depsite us having our dog in there. The facilities are great. I usually judge a hotel by the condition of its gym - a well maintained gym usually means a well maintained hotel. It has everything you need and is staffed by a team of wonderful people. The breakfast buffet has a wide and balanced selection, great to start the day with. When New World Manila becomes the number 1 hotel in Manila; and I am very sure it will; no doubt it would be due to the effort, passion and dedication of these incredible individuals. They work excellently together and will impress even the most discerning guest. ----------- The New World Manila Bay Hotel has taken good care of me these past weeks. From the gym personnel, to the breakfast buffet and the housekeeping staff, this hotel is full of exceptional people. I would like to thank the Market Cafe service staff and chefs, who wake up at ungodly hours everyday to provide some of the finest food and definitely the most charming service you will ever experience. They take the effort to recognise you by name and that really makes the difference between a simple meal and an enjoyable dining experience! Each and every one of them deserve praise. My love also goes out to the housekeeping staff under Melvin. Thank you Sharon, Princess and Vincent, for endlessly cleaning and refreshing the rooms so they remain comfortable and spotless - which they are! Sharon and Princess are always happy to help with anything and everything you need and they are really exemplars of their department. Vincent is always smiling despite the late hours of his shift and seeing him does bring a smile to my face too - in my experience, it is hard to find people of such quality! I know they will do well in the future. From conceirge, I would like to recognise my brothers who have made my stay so pleasant - Cef, Cyril, Benedict, Carlos, Aris, Jerric, Boom and Jeff. Seeing you guys makes me feel like I am home whenever I enter or leave the front doors - I do wish I could stay longer! Conceirge are the face of a hotel and these fellows really outdo themselves!
