"great business hotel and stop over hotel"
great place to stay. comfortable bed. great room. breakfast needs to be more varied, but the staff are happy to accommodate any different dietary requirements. Few minutes from the metro. Be aware there is no place for a car to park for drop off and pick up. well equipped gym. The pool is lovely however i had to go down and check the opening times for the pool as it wasn't opened at its allocated time.
"DO NOT GO TO HYATT PLACE BANIYAS SQUARE"
We booked our hotel online which was a BIG mistake. They had additional charges in fine print which was 20% plus 950dirham tourist fee for five people. So we ended up paying the additional costs. For a four star hotel the hotel did not meet its standards. There were no slippers in the bathroom, no toothbrushes or toothpastes. Also because we were three people in one room, one person had to sleep on the couch. WHO SLEEPS ON THE COUCH IN A FOUR STAR HOTEL' It was extremely uncomfortable and ripped off our money. We did not pay that amount of money to end up sleeping on the couch. Also the breakfast variety was very low, most mornings I ended up only having fruits. I would not recommend my friends and families to go to this hotel, because they rip you off your money and their hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I would say more like 3 star hotel.
"Reasonable place to stay"
We arrived at the hotel at 'silly o'clock' after a 24 hr journey from Australia. We were shattered and the staff gave us coffee while they tried to see if we could check in even though we were early. The staff were brilliant and helpful. Near to the metro station so easy to get to places. The rooms were clean and well-serviced. If there is a downside for me I would not feel comfortable wandering around on my own as I have done in many cities. The breakfast was brilliant something for everyone!!!!! The pool was perfect. As this was a stopover on our way back to Manchester we decide to eat in the restaurant the last night. The meal was mediocre and menu quite limited. There were only 3 people in there so maybe someone needs to think about doing offers or specials if you want to encourage guests to eat there. Wine we expected to be expensive and it was!!! On the morning of departure we were asked what time we wanted to leave the room and allowed to keep the room on at no extra costs.
Very well located. The heart of the town, few minutes walk from the gold souk, the old Dubai, metro, great location. Clean, comfortable, affordable, staff always there to serve and help. To be recommended given the budget. Only point: Orange juice must be pressed in the morning make all the difference of the day. Thanks for the fantastic week.
