I wanted a clean place to simply sleep and feel safe. I was 100% satisfied. The bedding was fresh and there was no lasting odors in the room or hotel.Comment of W. LECOLION , United States the 2016-03-15
"Nice hotel close to Boston University with Great View"
Upon arrival at the hotel, Ming the bellman was quick to help with our luggage. He was friendly and courteous as he waited for us to check-in and take us to our room. The check-in was efficient and smooth. Our room, 8th floor, though smelled of cigarette smoke. I was offered to change rooms but we were tired and thought maybe the previous guests smoked in the large private balcony. I left the patio door open to air it out and the smell dissipated. I was out the following day all day, when I returned it still smelled of cigarette smoke. I think it was in the vents. Nevertheless, I loved that our room has its own large private balcony overlooking the Charles River and the Harvard Bridge. The bed, pillows and linens are very nice. The flatbread pepperoni pizza ordered from room service was very good and the server was friendly. The staff is friendly and efficient and I would stay here next time I'm in Boston.
Nice view, easy to go anywhere by free shuttle bus. The room is clean new upgrade. Bed is very comfortable. Front desk is very helpful. If you visit Boston, in the warm day, Charles river is so nice walk around. Very convenient shuttle bus services. The room is very clean, bed is very comfortable.
"Great Hotel in Cambridge but you are stuck eating there and paying $40 for parking"
I am a Hyatt Diamond, and I have stayed at this hotel 8 times over the last few months. It is a nice hotel with a nice view of the Charles River - you can see the college row teams practice most mornings (not winter). The rooms are small, kind of dated, but the beds are comfy. There is NOWHERE to eat except the hotel, unless you take the shuttle to Harvard square, and a cheeseburger with fries and a beer at the hotel will cost you around $25. I get a free breakfast because of status, I think the breakfast buffet is around $22 or so. So stay there to sleep, not eat. You can drive across the river to Copley to find some pubs for a lot cheaper. It costs $40 a nithg to pay for parking and there is no alternative in the area.
"Great view and awesome location"
Can't beat location (near MIT and Harvard) if you have to attend seminars or conferences there . You can also walk across river and have great shopping options! Breakfast buffet was okay , typical. In room dining has decent options but if you can drive across river there are great bars and restaurants.
"Great 3 night stay at convenient location"
We had a spacious room with 2 double beds. The room and bathroom was very clean. The decor wasn't anything fancy--but I always like it when a hotel room comes with a refrigerator. Check in was a breeze as I had done the pre-check in online, and the Express checkout was equally easy. The shuttle to Harvard/Kendall Square and Cambridgeside galleria was also convenient, as there are no restaurants around the hotel, and it is NOT on the T line. My son could easily walk to MIT where he was attending a conference. I was pleased that with my AAA discount the garage was $30 a night--not bad for a city hotel.
