I travel a lot and have had a variety of experiences. This Hyatt was truly outstanding.mthe rooms are great and the staff exhibit kind, professional and responsive behaviors. There are few places that I travel to for work and want to re-visit with my family. This is one of those few gems. Whether traveling for work or play, you only will enjoy a great experience at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point.
I was here for a business conference and this is a gorgeous hotel with very nice amenities and beautiful grounds. The staff were consistently friendly & helpful. The hotel is easily accessed from the Ft Myers airport (~ 25 min by car). There is an on-site spa (menu looked great but I didn't get to partake). The pools are gorgeous. There is a water slide and a dedicated more isolated adult pool. Would love to have the chance to return.
This place is a shell of a Hyatt Regency. Nice to look at with little to offer other than a new lazy river pool. Limited restaurants that were over priced. $34 for chicken is no chicken feed. The staff seemed indifferent.
We combined business & pleasure to spend a week at this resort. If you are a pool person, you will enjoy the pools (one for kids) & the new lazy river feature. There is a fire pit to enjoy in the evening & multiple areas to relax on the grounds. We enjoyed the ferry ride to Old Hickory Island and were accompanied by dolphins! The beach was very pleasant and the day we visited we had no trouble locating chairs and umbrella. Check in was accompanied by our choice of champagne or added to cranberry juice or as a mimosa. Nice touch to start the relaxing. We were apprised on the covered garage parking at this time and used it the whole time we were there. We had a quiet corner room away from the elevators. It had 2 beds and was a spacious room. After my spouse stubbed a toe on the heavy end of the bed bench, we moved it to a corner & utilized it as a luggage rack. The closet was a good size & had automatic lights when opened. We had a small step out balcony. There were enough drawers to really be able to unpack for the week. The only reason this was not a 5 star review was due to the inconsistent housekeeping. Several days we had to chase a cart down to get the water for the fridge and/or tea for the coffeemaker. We had confetti outside our door that found its way into our room and spent several days with us. One day we gave up on housekeeping after leaving at 9:45 a.m. & returning at 2:30 p.m. to a still unmade up room. We changed out our towels & got amenities from a housekeeper still on our floor. We do tip but maybe it wasn't satisfactory' The area really is nice and there is a nearby (driving distance) First Watch where we had breakfast several mornings. The food that was served for the conference was actually quite nice. One of the lunches in particular was very well done with multiple delicious salads as well as entrees. Although we did not get to choose this site, I would definitely consider it highly should we be in this area again.
"Even better than before"
We spent a long weekend here. The resort is beautiful as always but rooms have been updated again. Service is exceptional. We were there while the new water park was under construction, but never heard the workers or saw them. We can't wait to go back now that the water park is open. Lots of restaurants close by for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you want a change from the hotel.
