A true luxury hotel. A bit distant from center but for those Who like walk, no problem. Only negative aspect is that separate toilet and bath.Comment of B. Ömer Faruk , Turkey the 2015-11-01
"Business meetings we had here were terrific!"
I coordinate meetings every year for the Legal & Compliance department at my company (based in the USA), and I was very pleased with the service we received at the Hyatt Dusseldorf. Our team stayed at the Hyatt for three nights and used the Executive Boardroom for one day in early October. I worked mostly with Patrick and Henrick at the Concierge desk, and closely with an event sales manager named Vanessa. All of them were terrific in how they supported me in the planning stage and after we arrived to Dusseldorf. As is typical, I had a few last minute changes to the number of people attending, our restaurant reservations, transportation, etc. The Hyatt team I worked with were flexible and gracious with making all the necessary changes for me and were responsive to all my emails. Planning an event for a group of people from overseas is nerve-wracking, hoping everything you ask for and reserve in advance turns out right. The support I received from the people mentioned above was invaluable! The hotel rooms are comfortable and modern. The DOX restaurant and bar in the hotel were fantastic, my team members enjoyed meals and drinks there several times. The breakfast spread (included in our room rate) was really nice...omelets were delicious, roasted potatoes, bacon & sausage, lots of fruit and pastries and fresh juice. The location of the Hyatt is great. A 5-minute walk over the harbor to some restaurants and businesses. About a 15-minute walk to the Old Town area, which we really enjoyed. I tried sauerkraut there for the first time at one of the many eating areas by the water and loved it! I had considered a hotel for us early on that was closer to the KO shopping area, but now I'm glad we were set apart at the media harbor. We really enjoyed that location. If I ever have the opportunity to visit Dusseldorf again I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else but the Hyatt Regency. Just the service alone would make it worthwhile. Thank you to Vanessa, Patrick and Henrick!
"Nice Hotel in a super location"
Great location in the Media Habour with great views of the city. There are plenty of restaurants close by, but it it a fair walk to the Old Town or the City Centre (c. 30 minutes). The rooms are nicely designed, very well equiped, stylish & modern, with super large and comfortable beds. The bar and restaurant are also pleasant areas to hang out and the Breakfat is excellent. The service was also very friendly and in most cases very efficient. Only checkin and checkout seemed to take twice as long as with everyone else in our case - it appeared to be problematic to put 2 rooms onto one bill. The only real complaint that I have is the pricing policy for extras. You already pay a premium price for a premium hotel, so to then charge €32 each for breakfast, €14 for a Gin and Tonic, or €23 for a day parking, is boardering on taking advantage of the customer.
"Great trip with Family"
I shy away from 5 stars but had top service twice on this trip. This was one of them. Stayed here after a long business trip and flew my family over to meet me. This means that on the fly I had to change my room to accommodate them. Staff here was exceptional. The manager took care of us and put us in a larger room and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The location seemed out of the way but in reality, it was nice. We walked over a pedestrian bridge and along the waterfront to the old town. I great walk and the hotel was far enough away to get away from the noise so that we slept in quiet. This was my 1st time to Dusseldorf but when I come back I'll seek out this hotel. Thanks again to the staff! You made a positive contribution to our trip! Thanks!!
"first and last entry point of our Eastern Europe visit in September."
greta hotel. modern and very friendly. even before trip, my wife had so much help and advice from the staff via email and phone, we had hope they lived up to that expectations. THEY DID. upon checked in although the hotel is situated among high office buildings, we were impressed with the view around it and the cleanliness of the area and the amenities starting with the lounge and Dox Bar and the front office were very well planned and inviting. Good job Hyatt Dusseldorf.
"Beautiful hotel. Funky location. Dreadful reservation service. "
Always looking for a good new hotel in Dusseldorf, I happened across the HR. It's a really beautiful stylish hotel. Just lovely. In a funky location. But - Oh My Goodness - what dreadful officious reservation service, who took my and my secretary to task in a series of pointed e-mails about their reservation error. It's ok having a beautiful facade but the customer service needs to be beautiful as well. A bit hesitant about recommending it based on this experience. A Shame.
