They took great care of us and made it easy to store luggage and still gave us access to all the amenities at the hotel before our room became available. The only downside was the number of unsupervised kids using the hot tub.Comment of W. Kirsten , United States the 2016-07-29
The location, setting, and overall experience were all fantastic. Great value for the money, exceptional service, hassle-free booking and reservation -- and most of all, the room was amazing. Excellent decor, well equipped, super comfortable bed, and great marina view. Hyatt remains at the top of their game. Our experience could not have been better -- the only thing wrong was that we wish we could have stayed longer! Five stars all the way, from the time we booked until the time we checked out.Comment of S. Kevin , United States the 2016-07-05
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. So close to sea world and the view was beyond amazing.Comment of B. Christopher , United States the 2016-04-22
"Fun time not"
Disappointed in room assignment for the cost . Expected superior rooms and service was let down. Grounds are lovely and sitting by the water was wonderful . But I do not plan to return. My disappointed with room cause my trip to only be so/so.
"Enthropy - it has begun."
In the beginning this hotel must have been a star; but time grinds away on the luster of the star. The hotel is on the edge of decaying into a fallen star. A little investment will bring the shine back. A challenge this hotel has is it is right under the flight path of taking off jets from the airport, coupled with the roar of loud motorcycles; challenges the idea of serenity.
"Unworthy of the name "Hyatt Regency""
Felt like I was staying in a 60-year-old "Holiday Inn" (that hadn't been updated) rather than a Hyatt property. Outdated furnishings, broken bathroom fixtures, no iron in the room, curtains that could barely be adjusted, loud air conditioning, and accosted by a homeless person on the hotel property.
"Close the shop man...."
I'm shocked Hyatt would leave the "Regency" brand on this forgotten property. I will now question any Hyatt hotel carrying this monicker. The lobby is small and not functional. The one restaurant is so dated and not adjacent to the main building. Coffee in the morning' A five minute walk outside and down the boardwalk to a Starbucks wannabe. Are you kidding me' Don't even get me started on the rooms or quality of finishing in the common areas. "Tired" is as generous as I could be.
Went to San Diego for business and ended up at the boat races. The stay at Mission Bay Hyatt was very nice. We got to see sea lions in the harbor at the hotel and it was close to everything. The restaurant at the hotel was very good too.
