"Noisy Old Hotel in need of renovation"
Noisy paper thin walls and doors that slam loud enough to wake or disturb you worat water pressure i have ever seen. Toilet runs on and off and never fixed after request. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation.
"One of the best Hyatts!"
This is a really great place to stay if in Monterey on business or leisure. As a business traveller it's the little things... In room coffee that actually tastes fine. A large desk area. Quality TV, and get this - 14 useable outlets + 4 USB charging ports around the room. If you travel a lot you know what a big deal that is! I didn't use much of the resort space, but pool and other common areas are VERY nice. Will look forward to staying here again without hesitation!
"Peaceful & Quiet for a Business Trip!"
I stayed here for several nights to attend a conference hosted at the Hyatt. Check-in was quick, though I was disappointed that they weren't able to fulfill the one minor request I had. They were able to rectify that the next day, so that was nice. The room itself was full of nice touches that I appreciated while being away from home. The stand-alone a/c unit was a bit strange but for the area I guess it's normal to not even have standard a/c at every hotel. Would've liked to see Keurigs in the room instead of the icky single cup filter coffee things they had. Bleh! Wi-fi in the room was spotty at best (at least where I was.) The grounds were gorgeous, and my room overlooked the golf course-- not a bad sight to wake up to each morning! There was a nice fire pit area that several of us co-workers sat around and chatted until it was time to close it up. Very pleasant environment to unwind. Overall the business trip felt a tiny-bit like a mini vacation, which isn't a bad thing!
"A very good place for a conference."
This is my second stay here for a work conference and it holds up very well. Service is quite good, plenty of amenities on premises and the golf course is right there if that's you thing. (Be aware that you are not in town, so you do have to drive or walk quite a ways, though some of my colleagues found a walk all the way down to a beach do-able in about an hour.) Food is so-so; if you are looking to dine, go into Monterey or Carmel instead. Rooms are large and well appointed and the premises are well-kept. Only thing that bothers me is that the hallways have a strange chemical smell as though the carpet was still out-gassing, and I wish the management would take care of that. The conference center is very good, configurable for multiple uses large to small. Audio needs some work, but I'm not sure that's the province of the hotel itself.
