"Great for Hyatt Platinum Members"
This was the perfect place for us to stay in Paris for a few reasons, but I can see why some would find it less-than-ideal. The lobby is incredibly updated and beautiful, and there is a breakfast buffet every day. However, the hallways and rooms were clearly in need of an update. The views we had were wonderful, though! Breakfast was included for us because of my Hyatt status, as was a lounge on the upper floors that served small bites, wine, and champagne. That made this hotel worth it to us, plus the fact that it is fewer points than the other Hyatt branches in Paris. However, it was fairly far from a lot of the places we wanted to see, and we wanted to walk. We quickly learned it's important to use the close train station if you're staying here because while the Champs d'Elysees is beautiful, it is a long walk! If you're on a budget or a Hyatt Platinum member, I would highly recommend this hotel!
"Minor improvements in room, no gym!"
Took the train from Charles de Gaulle terminal 2 to centre. Staff cannot be faulted for this centrally located, adjacent to congress centre for those on business and 20mins walk to Arc de Triumphe and lots of great places to eat and shop. But no gym at moment and not advertised on website to my knowledge which is a bit annoying when staying 4 nights and I don't like using adjacent dodgy public gyms. People I travelled with found rooms temp control impossible to change or adjust but I managed it, although I have no idea how - the room desk is far too narrow to work properly on business and the glass table provided is too low to use this either. I know I shouldn't be allowed to enjoy myself working on my PC while watching TV so thankfully it is impossible to do both at once with the current set up here...nice touch. In any case, most channels were foreign (to me) so if you are English speaking do enjoy repeatedly recycled 24 hr news, on the upside you may get a quiz question in 10 years time asking about the exact date of the resignation of Michael Flynn and will immediately know since you watched that story 50 times in 2017....breakfast was almost great, I have to deduct marks for the scrambled egg which seemed to lack egg almost entirely, this is quite a feat and perhaps the chef had extra cornflower...I don't like waste either. Do take the direct bus for 17 euros from the bus top directly outside the front door back to CDG airport it takes 40mins on weekends and you can buy ticket from front desk. Overall very good hotel and worth 4 stars - I expect 5 when they reopen and would return so long as they find some eggs.
Under renovation. Extremely noisy (even with my Bose headphones) all day 8h-18h. A lot of deep vibrations as well. Internet totally unreliable: works 2-3 minutes and then stops. Was totally unable to work in my room. Newly renovated rooms are nice. But the shower drainage is inadequate. Flooded the bathroom floor everytime. Otherwise, very nice view of the Eiffel tower.
"Iconic hotel "
Its not only a hotel, it s an iconic place in the middle of paris, close to everything, nice mall and a metro station down the lobby. If there never miss a drink on the rooftop bar where u have the best view!
"Avoid at All Costs"
The Hyatt Paris Etoile continues to slip into hotel oblivion. The renovation that has been going on for years has now closed the lobby, so you enter through the adjacent mall. The place is in a complete state of disrepair and neglect. Hyatt should be ashamed that they still collect fees for staying here. If Hyatt really cared about its customers it would close the place completely and reopen after the work is complete.
