Stayed at the hotel as most guests due to its proximity to the convention center which is across the street. Hotel itself is very nice, room very comfortable and free Wi-Fi included. Both restaurants were busy with convention attendees but service was great at both and even the desk staff were nice. Now for the bad, I had injured my foot prior to the trip so I'm wearing a Cam Walker cast on my foot. I bring one dress shoe and one New Balance sneaker since the cast is my other "shoe" during my visit. I packed up and left two items behind in my room, my sneaker and a knee pillow which is my fault. After the convention finished I rechecked my luggage for my items and they aren't packed. I inquire at FD and between security and housekeeping nothing turned in. Had dinner and in a final check with desk staff still nothing. To their credit they even walked me up to the room to see if was still inside but again we came up empty. So I get hotel survey give hotel good score but explain my problem. No reply. In conjunction with Hyatt I fill out trip advisor survey same story, no reply. I get it, your across from convention center and chances are I'm not going to return. but I gave you 2 chances to reply and being a hospitality professional myself I expect the courtesy of a reply. I notice no one replies to tripadvisor posts which to me means don't bother us with your missing items we are too busy to care. Now no need to reply.
"Very Clean, Comfortable and Quite Enjoyable"
Excellent hotel with wonderful food in all restaurants! A great place to stay. Somewhat pricey for families, though. I received a fairly reasonable rate due to a conference but normal rates are around $400.00 nightly.
"The best place to stay if attending an event at Talking Stick Arena"
The hotel was only a block and a half away from the Talking Stick Arena, making it very easy to walk to a concert there. There are also eateries along the way or nearby within blocks of walking. The flat rate cab from the airport was also very attractive and the Einstein Bagels downstairs was a plus. There's no need to rent a car as the rail is nearby too.
"Best Place to stay if you visit Convention Center"
I stayed at this Hotel for a couple of days for business purposes. Loved how quiet my room was despite the fact of an otherwise busy lobby. Taxi's are readily available directly outside the Hotel Lobby - fantastic! Congierce service is always at hand to answer questions - perfect! Gift Shop off the Lobby with everything you might have forgotten, need or don't need. Breakfast is served either to your room or in the breakfast area for the same price and ample. And, it is literally located across the street from Phoenix Convention Center. The room itself looked tired. Carpets in hallways didn't seem to be vaccuumed. Windows had greasy hand palm prints... First night I thought, mhm, this hotel doesn't offer any ammenities in their room (shampoo, soap....) After a view nights, they were all of a sudden replenished and I realized them must have just not put them in my room on the date of arrival. Towels are worn. Overall, I would rate this Hotel as average, I don't think of it as something "special".
"Good downtown hotel"
This is a good downtown hotel, the wifi was a little flaky in the lobby area. There are a few good local bars if Einsteins isn't your thing, also several local restaurants. The rotating restaurant/bar is good for a drink but a bit expensive. The pool is a tad small and doesn't get the sun much at this time of year.
