"The heart of downtown Phoenix"
For business, I travel about twice a month. So I've been in my share of hotels. I chose the Hyatt Regency Phoenix because I was attending a conference at the Convention center. This location is ideal. Walking distance to all conveniences. Easy taxi ride from the airport ($17 flat fee) or uber. It's invaluable to me to be walking distance from a conference and be able to run back to the room if need be. Since I didn't rent a car I can't speak about parking. I also appreciate the functionality of the Hyatt app. I used it to reserve the room as well as check in. Comparatively, I found the price to be favorable over equivalent hotels in the downtown area. I found the Hyatt Regency to be clean and modern. The staff (Tony at the front desk and Brittany from room service) were delightful and professional. Requests were dealt with promptly. The courtesy wifi was sufficient to deal with business issues. The bed was comfortable and I'm considerably picky about mattresses. The Hyatt brand is always on my short list for business or leisure travel. The Hyatt Regency Phoenix was an outstanding experience and I would not hesitate to return.
"Plush stay in the center of Phoenix"
The hotel is very impressive and centrally located. The room was large and very comfortable. While this was a family trip, I will likely return here for business travel. Only downside was the lack of free parking but that goes for nearly all hotels in the area.
"NICE PLACE WITH A LOT OF PROBLEMS"
We've stayed here for many years working an annual trade show that is held across the street. The convenience of the Hyatt's location to the convention center or sports venues is just about the only attribute of this property. Very, very expensive considering the hot water in the shower is scarce, at best...the rooms are dark as a cave....AC never really kicks-in....the elevators are excruciatingly slow.....and, the cost of beverages or food in the Networks bar are over the moon. If we paid $60.00 per night we'd expect the dark & dingy rooms, AC that doesn't ever work, the lack of hot water, and elevators that take forever... but at $200.00 per night, these items are simply ridiculous. Bring a LOT of $$$ with you if you plan to eat & drink @ Networks in the lobby area. Decent service but, man, it's EXPENSIVE!! Beds are comfortable but overshadowed by the hot room temperature. When you ask the front desk about the AC, hot water or elevator issues, they act as though they've never heard of the problems. Read previous reviews. This has been the case for years & years & years & years & years......you get the drift. This is probably just simply supply & demand with some proximity attributes working against the customer. The Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix is a nice place but I'll bet that you'll regret staying here after you weigh-out the cost vs the comfort. This is really too bad for all involved. Here's to wishing and hoping things change before 2018......but I'll also bet that they won't. PS---If you need to use valet parking, it's $28.00 per night.
"Great Place to Stay"
When I travel with my family for vacation I will look here before looking anywhere else. The rooms were very comfortable and close to many fine restaurants and sport venues. In House restaurant was great
The Hyatt Regency in Phoenix is an exceptional hotel that is located in the heart of Phoenix. This is a must-stay for any convention or ball game. We stay here every year in February for a convention and are never let down.
