"Better than expected!"
We came here with low expectations but were really blown away with how impressive this property is. A sprawling park with swimming pools and jacuzzis looks up at the tower. The grand lobby is also a great place to grab a drink and lounge. rooms can use some updating but was acceptable .
"Beautiful but noisy"
I was here for a conference. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable with beautiful views from the balcony. Simply decorated, a bit dated but not shabby. Great restaurants on sight and really beautiful grounds! The negative- NOISE! I was on the 8th floor where naturally it is very windy on the balcony. There is a little metal gate dividing my balcony from my neighbor's, and it rattled continuously! Literally nonstop. It was extremely annoying at night and I had to sleep with my earbuds in to drown it out. Also- and this is not the hotel's fault and does not factor into my rating- two out of four nights I had to call security because of inconsiderate, rude, noisy guests. The first night it sounded like the woman next door was trying to win the award for "loudest porn actress" at 4am! Thank goodness I didn't have children with me. I called the desk but the noise continued for an hour and a half. On the third night a loud group was whooping it up in the hallway at 1:30 am for over 15 mins. Security did come up and take care of that. The only other thing worth mentioning- the bottled water is $3 a bottle, though there was no sign of card in my room to indicate that. Nice place overall if you don't mind walking for shopping or offsite dining.
"Dated room with poor insulation "
Dated room with dated furniture. The worst part was you could hear next door neighbors phone conversation thru the wall. Next day I complained about everything and they gave me a complimentary upgrade to a 2 room suites but the A/C only worked in the living room and the bed room had their A/C completely shut down ( to save energy ) the Hilton hotel down the road is so much better.
"hotel before cruise"
best location for day before cruise. port is 15 minutes away. nice spacious rooms. balcony rooms facing pool were amazing. couple restaurants there. Had all breakfast lunch and dinner. no complaints. great service. i will love to stay here again.
"Outdated hotel, not walking distance to anything except a gas station"
I must say that the staff was very helpful and friendly, the pool very nice and the grounds were well maintained with many lawn games to have fun. With that said I was first given a room and it looked recently remodeled, very nice BUT right outside the balcony (1st Floor) there was a sand volleyball court! I could not see myself relaxing while a bunch of people played a game. So I was switched, and the second room was never renovated, and as others said smelled moldy. ALSO THIS ROOM WAS NUMBER 2276, RIGHT NEXT TO THE CLEANING CREWS ROOM, ALL DAY LONG ALL YOU HEAR IS BANGING, TALKING, AND CARTS ROLLING BY!!! Do not stay in this room or near! Price wise every restaurant here is expensive, 10 dollars for a a bowl of oatmeal' Come on! Also you are isolated and will have to take a cab, Uber, Lyft anywhere you want to go.... They have a shuttle to the beach that runs every two hours until a little after 5 PM, wow.... If you park a car it's 25 a day, or 30 for valet, Jeez.... Also at the pool they do not enforce kids, there is a small pool for kids but ignorant parents who have no concern for others take them in the larger pool, and the hot tub. Overall was a decent stay but I will definitely choose a different property next time I am in town.
