"Great place to stay in"
Almost everything was very good (Room, beach, breakfast, staff) Except not answering the phone calls and not sending the airport shutlle bus on time I would highly recommend to friends and family,,,,,
"A great place to stay"
The people at the Hyatt make the entire trip so much better. The hotel is quiet with beautiful landscaping. Good food, good times overall a great experience. The chilled out atmosphere allows you to relax in comfort.
"Beautiful, carefree seaside spot"
The resort is huge with a clever layout to allow ocean views from every room and gorgeous grounds; it looks like the song video for "Hotel California" should be filmed here. The greatest feature is the sweet, service oriented staff. Since we were in offseason everything including the beach and coral reef were uncrowded. Despite being a professional meeting just one of the most relaxing places I have been.
The hotel is charming and quite ... the property is huge with plenty of space to walk .. the staff is friendly ... the hotel needs renovation but the view of the sea is breath taking Cafe fresco offered a diverse selection of international cuisine and chef Mohammad was very friendly 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
"Beautiful views, perfect for relaxation"
We just finished our second stay at the Hyatt Regency and would highly recommend it. The Regency Club was really a high point with its private beach, private pool, and Club lounge where breakfast and complimentary cocktail hour are served. We enjoyed the gorgeous views and landscaping throughout the entire resort. We spent quite a few afternoons just sitting in our balcony with drinks enjoying the view of the ocean -- it was that beautiful! Beach: The private Regency beach was also splendid and a real highlight. Plenty of open sand for our kids to play and build sand castles. There were also comfortable beach lounges with umbrellas, of course, and a waiter who brought us complimentary water, soft drinks, juices, and espresso beverages. We snorkeled right off the beach and pier on the house reef. It was wonderful -- we could see plenty of fish and coral without having to go out on a boat. In fact, party boats filled with revelers and divers would come to our beach and anchor a couple hundred feet off-shore, presumably because the diving was so good. The boats and occupants never came onto the beach, of course, nor did they disturb the diving/snorkeling that was on the house reef. Dining: Food at Sala Thai and the Beach House were really great: freshly cooked to order and delicious. Breakfast at the Regency Club and at the main buffet were also pretty nice, with cook-to-order pancakes and eggs. We also really enjoyed lunch at the Cascades pool restaurant -- it was actually quite good for a pool restaurant, with attention to food presentation and a fantastic view of the ocean. However, the food at the dinner buffet was just okay: we were somewhat grossed out when other diners took dessert items from the buffet and then put them back with their bare hands when they changed their minds. Also, we observed some guests re-dipping food (after having bitten it) into the chocolate fountain! Unfortunately, both Sala Thai and the Beach House were closed during our second stay due to renovations. I wish they had told us this in advance of our reservation. Pools: Our kids loved the waterslide during our first visit in January and were sooo looking forward to going back to it during our second stay in March. Unfortunately, the waterslide was closed for renovation/refurb the second time around. Again, I wish we had known this at the time of our reservation. Granted, I did not ask what facilities would be opened/closed. The pools were overall very nice. There is a lazy river that would have been very enjoyable, except that it was a bit too chilly to stay in for long during both our stays. The private Regency pool is really nice and quiet. Non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary at the Regency pool with the club package, which is a nice touch. Rooms: Our rooms were comfortable. We had connecting rooms and spent quite a bit of time in the room just relaxing. Views from the balcony were fantastic on both stays. Rooms weren't lavishly luxurious but were nicely appointed and comfortable. During our second stay, the rooms smelled a bit musty, as if the previous guests had smoked or as if they hadn't been aired out in a while. Since we arrived late at night with small children, I didn't bother requesting another room as it would've been too much hassle. Ultimately, with a day and a half of airing it out with the balcony doors open, the mustiness dissipated. Worth noting, however, that the temperature is hard to control from within the room. Despite a room thermostat, the temperature appears to be controlled centrally, and it's hard to get them to really change the temp. So we were a bit cold during our January stay. All in all, we would highly recommend this resort. The Regency Club package makes it truly special because of its access to the private beach, pool, and club lounge.
