This is a very comfortable hotel. We had excellent service from RAJ in the restaurant - extremely efficient and most helpful beyond the call of duty. As well, ROB on the Front Desk allowed us a much later check out than normal which assisted our travels greatly. Strong recommendation.Comment of P. Marcus , Australia the 2016-09-18

My wife and I planned this trip to celebrate our eighth wedding anniversary so it was important that we stay in a quality hotel. The Hyatt did not disappoint -on any level. In fact, the gentleman whom checked us in, a young man by the name of Jay Wong, was especially accommodating. Not only did he permit us to check in more than hour early, he gave us a room with a breathtaking view of down town Toronto and a king size bed. Upon settling into our room, we received a call from the front desk. It was Jay. He called to make sure that we were happy with the room and asked for, by then, the third time if there was anything at all that he could do to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. We were very impressed. Later that night, there was a knock at our door. I opened it to find a member of the in-room dining team holding a tray. He said that Jay wanted to wish us a very happy anniversary. The tray contained two small bottles of wine and two slices of decadent chocolate cake trimmed beautifully with various berries. We were speechless.Comment of C. Adam , Canada the 2016-04-10

"Room with a view "
Stayed here 2 nights as part of a wedding event. King size bed, but too small of a room. Rooms definitely need touch ups or renovations. Very limited closet space. Bathroom was small and shower area needs a major cleaning. Dust and chlorine build ups were visible. Room AC/Air unit needs a filter change, else you will need allergy medication at night. Lobby area is probably the highlight of this hotel. Front desk and concierge were good and helpful. Room service and quality of breakfast were also good. Location of the hotel was good and close to nearby restaurants and the wedding event. CN tower view from the room was a definite plus.
"Not rushing back"
this isn't a bad hotel but it's not one I would rush back to. As I travel to downtown Toronto for work I stay at various hotels in the same area and I would rate this one my least favourite The room they put me in felt like it had not been used in awhile (or not well cleaned for awhile). I had to wipe down the desk and chair as it smelled and while I was at it I wiped down the headboard as it was dirty and dusty, my cloth was black after wiping it down. The bed wasn't comfortable. There is construction next to the hotel and it started at 7am. For the price of this room I expect more. At check out I was asked about my stay I told them I wasn't happy with the room and I was told they would put something on my record to not put me in that room again - That won't be an issue as I am not returning. One good thing about this hotel, free water bottles. Free wifi and no password required.
We were there for a full week on business. Very kind staff in every role of the hotel's organisation! Clean, modern, great location. Room was spacy and quiet on the back side. Soon there will be a big tower get built next door - that risks to become noisy.
"Nice and clean"
Nice and clean rooms, quite spacious but a little dark for working there if you need to. Common areas are ok. Staff was helpful. I ordered diner to eat in and the lady over the phone was nice in recommending things on the menu.
Staff very friendly, could walk everywhere. We first got a room with a bay window with no curtains that was bigger but very bright and in front of other buildings. The staff changed us to a more private room. The rooms were decent but for the rate breakfast could be included.
