Good!!! Especially location is near by beach & main street. if i go to Ohau again, my choice is Hyatt Regency WaikikiComment of S. CHOI , South Korea the 2016-03-30
"Nice high rise with ocean views"
Hyatt overlooks Waikiki (Kuhio area to be specific). You do have to cross the road, but the view is unobstructed to the front and left. To the right, other hotels are in the way. We were on a high floor 34 and sometimes elevators were a wait, but not horrible. Breakfast buffet is expensive for what you get - figure out an alternative (mcdonalds and a breakfast place about a block or 2 away, and coffee and smoothie place on 1st floor). This hotel starts on 2nd floor and 1st floor is a mall type of place. There was a neat market in the 1st floor once per week with produce, crafts, etc. the room was very large. Pool area is small. we did not try the restaurant by the pool
"Nice room but inconvenient"
We stayed in 2809, Ewa tower, it had a nice ocean view and the nightly rate reflected it. Disappointing was the lobby area which barely had a few chairs and the check-in desk is on the 2nd floor. The ground floor was basically a mini mall. It was a pain to go through all that with a baby in a stroller and luggages. There is no elevator that goes from street level to the rooms. You have to take one of the spa elevators and switch to a different elevator to go all the way to the rooms. This was a deal breaker for me; won't stay there again. Also, the pool seemed pretty small considering the size of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable.
"Beautiful Hotel "
This is a beautiful hotel. Our travel agent, Mindy Sly from Beach Bum Vacations picked a beautiful location. The hotel is open and very spacious. The bottom floor has shops and is open to Waikiki. The beach is actually across the street. You can get towels and chairs from the hotel and head over. We were there the week of new years and the beach was packed! A little tight trying to find a spot. The pool was on the 3rd floor. It was small and there were a lot of kids. Not so relaxing. The wait staff was great and very attentive. We ate lunch on site once. The food was quite good. We also received a couple of great recommendations for dinner locations. Beautiful hotel but be prepared for all the people and kids. I would recommend
"Perfect Location On Waikiki Beach"
We are just back from a family holiday to Hawaii. We spent a few days in Honolulu and loved staying at the Hyatt. We received a high floor room with a great view of the beach. Our room was well-appointed and very comfortable. Highlights were the contemporary surfer meets Japanese style, the Japanese toilet (for Americans this is an odd treat), the quiet on the floor etc... the hotel also offers beach chairs to loan for the beach, we really liked that and the hot tub was also very nice. Pool was kind of small but who cares with gorgeous beach across the street! Staff were kind beyond kind. Pineapple tea in the lobby is delicious and refreshing. Local crafts and farmers market sale in main floor breezeway allowed our kids to fall in love with eating rambutan! Life was good at the Hyatt and thankfully not terribly touristy but nice central location allowed us to explore and relax. Will visit again for sure.
"The Perfect Waikiki Hotel"
Treated extremely well by staff. They remembered our names and went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of. This was a quick getaway vacation and had planned to stay here and it couldn't have been any better.
