"An Excellent Experience!"
The Accommodations & staff were so helpful with all of conference details. An excellent place to stay on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. The food in the restaurant was also very good! It will meet your every need!
"Great location, ok hotel"
Hyatt is perfectly adequate but nothing special. Plusses...rooms are clean and quiet, bed is comfortable, decent space in bathroom, appreciated makeup mirror. Food for conference breakfast, (lunches, reception were very mediocre to poor. Gluten free options particularly bad. Restaurant also fair - waiting staff at restaurant very nice and helpful.
"Exceptional customer service"
While we were simply a party of four in a standard room, we were treated like VIPs. Every member of the staff was courteous and willing to go the extra mile. You just don't find this attention to detail everywhere. We will definitely stay here again.
We reserved this hotel mostly for its location, and it did NOT disappoint. It is a 5-minute walk to the Capitol, Supreme Court, and the National Mall. Awesome. The rooms were clean, but relatively small and nothing fancy. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows need replacing desperately. The staff is terrific especially the bellmen and registration. I especially want to recognize Anna at the Registration desk. She has a wonderful demeanor and a real "customer first" attitude. Anna, you are a wonderful representative of the Hyatt brand. We also enjoyed the fact that they had free wi-fi and it worked well. The restaurant in the lobby (Article 1) was quite good. We only ate here once -- for dinner -- out of convenience and the meal and service were above average. We also used room service on one occasion, and it was quite good and on-time. My only real complaint is the convenience store in the lobby. It might very well be the worst managed store I've ever been in. It's wonderful they have it -- in case you forget something at home or want a quick snack or drink. However, the staff is absolutely miserable. And, on THREE separate occasions, they were unable to price an item. I couldn't believe it. On all three occasions, we simply told them to "forget it" after waiting for several minutes while they tried to find the price. If I were the hotel GM, I'd look long and hard at what's happening in store. The rest of the hotel conveys a sense of quality and professionalism. The store is a mess.
"GREAT LOCATION BUT NOT USER FRIENDLY."
We loved the location of this hotel and the ease with which we could get to different sites in the city. However, the rooms were very average and the parking seemed very pricey (@$58 a day). We also booked two rooms at the same time but were positioned on different floors, pretty far away from each other.
