"No fuss destination wedding"
The Hyatt Ziva is south of downtown Puerto Vallarta in the more jungle like mountains with a surprising beautiful private sandy beach. Our daughter picked this location for her destination wedding. It was a wonderful location to meet all members of both sides of the family with the many swimming pools and beach huts and specialty restaurants. With the all inclusive you put the wallet away and enjoy the drinks everywhere and the variety of restaurants on site. Most nights there was some kind of show and special dinner setting outside. Wedding planning was excellent and made it relaxing for all. Biggest complaint they get is the sound of waves breaking onto the beach at night. Was real tough to get used to!! Taxi trip to town is reasonable. Best all inclusive for relaxing time have experienced.
Upon arrival the front desk staff was amazing Bernice and Alicia for excursion were great. We were in the pent house suite and the room plus the food was superb. Radrigo the bellhop was very informative, Jesus Hernandez the bartender was very entertaining, great sense of humor and remembered our names. We ate at all the restaurants and the food is to die for; the restaurant staff is very professional. BEST VACATION EVER!!! Would go back 100 times over.
"Great staff and amenities"
What is GREAT: One thing that was really great was that all-inclusive really meant all-inclusive. We get tired of tipping and one of the things listed as included was gratuities. It was really great to not have to carry a wallet anywhere. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet had a great variety and changed daily. There are also 3 other restaurants on the property if you want a sit-down dinner. We had our anniversary while we were there. That morning, we mentioned it to our morning waiter, Rosendo. He asked if we were doing anything special and offered to put us in touch with the kitchen manager, Susana. After breakfast he took us to meet Susana. We said that we looked at the Blaze restaurant menu and were not thrilled with the selection as we prefer seafood to beef. She suggested that we could have a lobster. She also said she would send the sommelier to talk with us about wine. All of this was very low key and did not feel like pressure to buy extra. It felt like they were genuinely happy to make our occasion special. We ended up buying a huge lobster tail and bottle of wine. The rest of the dinner was included in the "all-inclusive". Essaul the sommelier came over as we sat down and discussed the chardonnay selections with us. Later he came to make sure we were enjoying our wine and we had a nice discussion about what we liked in chardonnays. At the end of the meal, they sent a beautiful slate with Happy Anniversary written on it and a nice desert. It was a great beach - good white sand and swimmable when the weather didn't make the waves too high. There were also a good variety of pool sizes and temperatures. Also good shows at night. The LESS good: We decided to splurge and have massages while we were there. Although the massages were very good and they have a nice facility, they were really over priced. The massages cost more than they would back in Spokane and WAY more than they would in downtown PV.
"Fun jungle tour with funny guides"
I went to Hyatt Ziva with my friend. The room was big and we got an amazing view of the ocean. Good amenities, tours and activities. We went on a hike with two of the activity guides. The hike was more than I expected, which was fun. I had to climb on rocks and walk in the water... ☺️ at the end, there was a small waterfall where my friend had to swim a short distance to see it.
"Want to go back to PV Hyatt"
I love this hotel and its location. Its very private and the hotel staff go out of there way to make sure you are pampered. I want to come back and return to the mesmerizing view of the ocean from our balcony and the gorgeous sunset.
