"Amazing hotel and team"
Iberostar 70 Park Avenue is a great hotel in a fantastic location, we couldn't have been happier with the hotel itself.Where the hotel excelled itself, though, was with the team. All of the front desk were great and so attentive, which made you feel like the most important guests on earth. Sarah (one of the managers) was incredible at sorting an issue we had, which was completely a fault of our own, but she even went above and beyond to be flexible to help us. We overheard a few customers receiving complimentary upgrades too, which was a nice touch and shows they give great service to everyone, I would suggest that everyone who visits New York to stay here. One thing I will mention is that it is worth noting that they do not have a restaurant for breakfast - there is a great breakfast diner right at Grand Central if you walk down Park Avenue and on your right (5 min walk), but of course there are thousands more places around! Such a fantastic hotel and staff - thank you once again.
"Great location and friendly staff!"
We loved the hotel. The front desk staff upgraded our room without us even asking. Within walking distance to so many places. Right next to Grand Central Terminal. The Empire State Building is just around the corner. I would definitely recommend.
"Great location, great staff"
The hotel is incredibly well located, you can walk to most touristic atrractions or take the train / tube at Grand Central, 5 minutes away. Premises are a bit old. Heating was not working during our stay, but we were offered a heater -and the staff invited us to free breakfast given the inconvenience. One of the three elevators was not working during the whole week, so sometimes you had to wait a little. You can have breakfast in any of several places around. Our room was equipped with two really big beds, we were sleeping 4 people without any discomfort.
"Conveniently located and priced"
The hotel is perfectly located but the rooms are small with paper-thin walls. We heard virtually every word of our neighbors' conversations. The hotel and the room was very clean. The doorman was extremely friendly; the front desk lady less so. When in Manhattan you shouldn't be spending much time in your room so the key for us is comfort, cleanliness and reasonable pricing. Iberostar had all three plus an excellent location. They will valet park your car for the duration of your stay - no "in/out" - the service is expensive. There are a number of garages in the immediate area which are more reasonable.
Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great location. Only one disappointment - I left my Christmas present from my son in the room and it didn't get handed in. I called back in on my way back through the city, but my present (item of clothing) was never retrieved which was very disappointing.
