"Terrible experience, not worth it at all!"
Very low end feeling to the entire property. Meals were sub par and catered to the very German clientele of the resort, not focused at all on local cuisine. Even for what it was, the food was not great, certainly not worth the all-inclusive charge. Servers and bar staff were unpleasant and ended up in a relatively heated (on their part) disagreement with front desk staff about their inability to fulfill a spa appointment vs. our need to check out about 15 minutes late to accommodate their last minute change. Across the street from the beach, so not part of the property. Staff let garbage pile up during the day by the pool and we had to practically chase down staff to get our included drinks. I don't know if all Iberostar properties are like this, but never again for us.
I will be returning to this hotel again. Its location is fantastic for the beach, there is a good selection of bars nearby and it is only between 20 - 30 minutes on the local bus into Palma. All rooms face out over the pool and or the sea.
Wasn't over thrilled with our trip the hotel is lovely but food wasn't great and trying to get a brew was impossible either had no tea bags or no hot water i liked the fact it was adults only but wasn't much to do in the hotel and the entertainment at night wasn't to great either an we was stuck in a room just above it we went out to escape it must nights for an iberostar hotel we was very disappointed
Our experience with this hotel was a good one !We were met from the bus and led into reception where we were greeted with glass cava.offered to upgrade, however the room was suitable for us. We had side sea view overlooking pool and sea, perfect for the evenings as could watch nightly entertainment from the balcony. The room was modern, white very clean open plan, separate toilet. As we were on 2nd floor were able to nip back and forward to the beach, could see from balcony . Only negative for me was not having a kettle in the room ,as I like my coffee!!!Breakfast was great ,plenty of everything !! Great coffees too. and pastries!!😎 We had really hot weather (30's) .Hotel and beach cleaned all through the night ,rooms done daily ,beds and towels etc,.Lots shops all the way along front to El Arenal, all sell same th things at different prices,so shop around!! Great shop next to hotel.Travelling as Scottish couple we didn't speak to many people as mostly German ,nice area easy to bus it to palma, only couple of euros. We loved it,have booked again for June 2017 for week.😎😎😎😎 also very close to airport ,ten min transfer time, perfect.!!!!😎
"Good but VERY German!! "
Very close to airport maybe 10 mins about 12€ in a cab beware on way back though the cabs stiff you another 7€ for ordering from the Hotel, walk to rank it's 50 yards away . So this is one of those older style hotels the 70s style blocks that the Spaniards chucked up and ruined their coastlines with, this one however has been nicely done up and cuts quit a dash from the front , they've replace all the balcony fronts with glass a lick of paint and hey presto BIG IMPROVEMENT!! On arrival we got a glass of champagne (cava) but no real fanfare (not that I expect one) then allocated our room which was small pokey and sea glimpses not views like we ordered (I genuinely believe they try it on with the English because we don't complain ) however we do! So that got changed ! We were upgraded to a junior suit for one night which was larger and different but in my opinion NOT WORTH the extra cost which is substantial at €30 per night ! Next day we got moved to another normal room with sea views which was IMO just as nice clean tidy beautiful views over the bay . Only small bug bare was tacky modern design which all rooms have and wasn't to my taste but this is obviously subjective and really NOT a problem . Food here was excellent and in a week I just couldn't get around to trying everything despite my best efforts (BE WARNED I gained half a stone ) yes I'm a pig !! Staff are very friendly and although used to Germans did their very best ! Cleaning was done well and clean towels everyday also . The pool area for me was just a little impersonal and felt like i was at a Lido or something ,very large shallow square pool but easy enough to get a bed in the sun despite the German presents so no having to get up at the crack of dawn here. Also they often do freebies like Paella etc. by pool bar area which was a nice touch. My personal choice was the beach across the road ( I'm normally a pool person ) the beach is lovely and the sea amazing it really did rekindle my love for the sea and beach and I swam in it everyday ! Beds aren't cheap €16 with a brolly and €10 without but well worth it IMO , such a lovely relaxing beach . Oh I should mention due to my 50th the hotel upgraded us to HB for free and I'd like to thank them for that ! We had a nice week , would I go back ' No !! Simply because not just the hotel but this entire region is German, the food the clothes the music everything and as much as I don't really want to be with hoards of English neither do I wish to be with hoards of Germans. Having said that everyone was very pleasant and it was only the language barrier that was a problem . So in a nutshell if you want a quick break in an above average VERY large German hotel with a great beach and good food go , if it's a more mixed personal experience you require maybe look elsewhere !!
