"Lovely hotel near Ibiza Town"
Rooms are modern - all with great view and a terrace. Equipment in rooms isn't good enough for 5 star hotel. What I really loved about the hotel was the adult swimming pool - very relaxed and calm with sun all day long. Location is also great: 20min walk to Ibiza town where you can find lovely little restaurants. Service could be better - again considering it's a 5 star hotel. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. However the cocktails at the poolside could be improved (food was amazing).
"Some sanity in Ibiza"
First time in Ibiza, perfect hotel, well situated. Awesome reception staff but the door staff were amazing. Very knowledgable and extremely friendly. For sure will stay there if I go again. The spa is not to be missed.
Visited there with a few friends and I must say the hotel was well worth the price we paid for the rooms The rooms were spacious and well laid out (the bathtub in the room was an interesting experience). The view of the the pool and the old town was spectacular The japeruvian restaurant in the hotel is phenomenal as well as the poolside restaurant which is quite nice. Well worth a visit
"A superb 5***** hotel close to centre and clubs"
Room (Deluxe suite) at 5th floor (room 505) spaceous, clean, quiet .....👍👍👍 Period: September 17 - 28, 2016 Breakfast superb .... it's better and completer than 'best'. La Gaia Japeruvian restaurants offers a broad spectrum of very nice dishes you can eat inside or outside on the lounge terrace. If you prefer a black angus hamburger or a filet steak here that's possible too. In the pool restaurant with more food choices you can have early dinner if wished until 19.00-20.00 hr depending on the season. Toilets at upper deck (near bar) have been changed and are poor and definitely not 5***** grand luxe these days. Women and men share 1 toilet 🤔. The reason is probably that part of the hotel complex has been sublicensed to another party ' Toilets at the pool downstairs are as you might aspect from this superb hotel. Conclusion: 5 ***** ...... we will come here again for our 3rd holiday next year.
The hotel is great but there are good and bad points. Service throughout except the odd bit of service around the pool where the waiter was forgetful. Concierge, reception, room cleaners etc were all top draw, attentive and very patient with some of the more stroppy and stuck up guests. Food is great, we reviewed Gaia separately so focus on breakfast here. This is the best breakfast we have had in 20 years of travel. Fantastic choice and quality, the servers on the stations were chatty and friendly. Loads of choice of fruit, cheese, meats, breads and so much more. Loved it and the cappos are top notch. Lunch was good on the two occasions we ate it, fresh just prepared. Room was great, a junior suite which overlooked the pool and onto Dalt Vila. The bathroom is in the bedroom which I think is odd but all functioned well with enough wardrobe hanging space, loads of draw space and table and chairs on the balcony. Location is great about 15 min walk outside Ibiza town around the marina however there are places in and around the hotel to eat and drink in. Both pools are cold but we felt the adult pool was slightly warmer. There was also a nice jacuzzi area. All clean and well we spent quite a bit of time in both. The bits that are odd are more the guests. So it appears when you are paying this much for a hotel you have to confirm to the stick look with lots of surgery or lip fillers (I am exaggeration slightly). But it's a shame that there seems to be this pressure on people to look a certain way which seems to have influenced the guests here more than other places we have stayed. You also got looks of requests for stuff "on the side", "there's too much salt" and a few other complaints that can only be described as 1st world problems. So if you decide to stay here be prepared to share it with a few prima donnas. That said the staff dealt with all these whinging guests with aplomb. Overall we loved this place. It's expensive but service and food are excellent and it's just outside town so not too noisy but close enough to everything you will need.
