Très bon hotel, situation très agréable, calme, services soignes, très agréable piscine, chambre spacieuse et de bon gout. Parking très pratique. A recommander vivementComment of B. Guy , France the 2013-08-12
The hotel looks great but lacked any warmth anywhere. In Feb the hotel was cold and no soft touches to soften the hard lines. The heating was insufficient and blankets provided were old and marked. The hot water broke down so cold showers were the last straw. Very expensive for what you get. Seville is lovely and will definitely go back.... just stay somewhere else.
"Valentines weekend "
Nice hotel, modern decor in a very central location to everything so we were able to walk instead of public transport, courtyard in the middle of hotel would be lovely in summer but alas a rainy weekend made it quite noisy, not the hotels fault, building Work taking place on the day we left fortunately but not mentioned when booking... we would use the place again if we returned!!
"Good but not great"
Location is perfect, and the set up looks promising. Very nice building from XVIc, tastefuly rehabilitated. Atentive staff, kind and efficient. However one would say they ran out of budget before they could finish the rooms. They are plain, basic, no frills, limited amenities and full of low budget patches. Light and smell can be a bit of an issue on some rooms.
"Stylish and central"
Booked the Posada del Lucero based on the reviews I had read on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. It was stylish, unique and in the perfect location. The staff were very attentive and we received a warm welcome on arrival. We arrived before check in time but were accommodated immediately. I asked if the hotel had any smoking rooms but were told they do not, however, we were shown room B1 which is on the ground floor and has an open air courtyard area adjacent to it in which you are allowed to smoke so this room was perfect for us. However I would point out that we travelled in January which I would consider low season and this room may not be so practical in the main season as it could be very noisy if guests were using the courtyard for late night drinks etc Our room was clean and comfortable, with a vaulted ceiling which reflected the age of the property. The mini bar was well stocked and also very reasonably priced. Wifi was free of charge and worked adequately. The bathroom had a good shower and a nice selection of toiletries. The location of the Posada is walking distance to everywhere, it is a stones through from 'The Mushrooms' and a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. To both the left and right were numerous Tabernas serving great tapas and drinks and don't be afraid to look down the little back streets as prices are much lower and I would say the food is better than in the main drag. We enjoyed our stay at the Posada and should we return to Seville this would definitely be our first choice of place to stay.
Beautifully decorated hotel! Staff was helpful too! Was not aware ahead of time that they did not have parking or valet & Seville is NOT a fun city to drive in. Great location! The upstairs deck was locked and we were hoping to check out the view.
