"Lovely beds and a great restaurant "
The rooms are spacious and very clean. I got a very quiet room . The breakfast was good, not fantastic but good. wonderful, slept like a baby. Location is perfect, near good restaurants,Tivoli,"stroeget"the streets for shoppers.
"Good hotel in good location but scope for improvement"
I have traveled several times to CPH for business and my company always book this hotel as it is very near to central station and has good rating. I kinda like it but they should improve on a bit of things such as "Provide water in the room" as it is not feasible to take drinking water from the basin and wash at same place
This is a good hotel. Great central location, so you are within walking distance to many things. The rooms are nice, practical and clean, infact the bathroom must be the cleanest bathroom I have ever experience at a hotel. Just be prepared for ultra small and slow elevators! Friendly front desk.
"Nice location, although only a 3 star quality"
We have stayed 3 nights in this hotel right before Christmas. However, this is probably the worst 4 star hotels I have stayed everywhere. The location is good, right off Vesterport train station, where you can take a stop to Central station then to Airport or Sweden, or you can walk about 7 minutes to Central station. There are a few very convenient buses just across the roads, a few supermarkets nearby, walking distance to Tivolli and Strøget. Then that's all about the nice parts of this hotel. Where to begin, I have arrived 1.30pm thought if i could check in (official time is at 3pm, quite late, but Standard for Scandinavia), the front desk advised the room was not ready yet, however I could sit around the couch in lobby, once it is ready, she would grab me or I could just store the luggage and go out walk around. Given I have traveled 34 hours to get there, I have decided to stay in the hotel and rest a bit and asked the girl to inform me once i can check in. I was assured of that. So I sat there for almost 1 hour ish, and saw all of the guests came after me have been checked in, so I went up to the front desk and asked again, I was informed the room was ready a while ago. I wasn't happy, but didn't say anything given I was exhausted. Then the lift was probably the tiniest lift I have seen ever, I have one standard check-in luggage and I am on a slim side, there was an average built guy who had to lean to the lift door, there would be no way to fit another person. Later in the stay, sometimes we ended up having to wait for a few lifts to be able to ride down. The room is quite tiny, but again its Scandinavian standard, however, there is not even a MINI FRIDGE! What kind of 4-star hotel does that'! The cups in toilets were the plastic instant cups, and there is no room to store your toiletries. Then the shower, you will have to stand on the bathtub in order to take a shower, the shield can't quite stop the water running outside, you will end up having entire floor covered with water. Housekeeping isn't good either, we didn't get our used glasses changed entire of the 3 nights we were there. The bed is way too soft, the double bed was made of 2 single beds. The carpet doesn't feel clean, the decor is quite worn out in an urgent need of facelift. On your last day, we have asked the hotel to store the luggages for a few hours after check out, only to discover they just left the luggage right next to reception counter without moving into any storage room entire of the time. Oh, one thing I found was strange that in Scandinavia, they don't check your identity when check in hotels...Not sure how I feel about the privacy. All in all, i will not stay in this hotel again.
Dirty carpets in the hallways. Elevators that "quarrel" - and are very dirty. Strange smell in the hallways. Large room which is quite OK (and faces a quiet street - as asked for). Friendly staff at reception. Hotel needs an upgrade...
