Excellent cost performance! Service was great and room condition was good as well.Comment of S. Anna , South Korea the 2016-02-13
Would give a 5-Star for the hotel room as it is really spacious and comfortable, literally like a palace. It falls short of 1 star for the overall rating because of the breakfast and location. Breakfast - Stayed here for 3 nights and breakfast for me was at the Executive Club Lounge. Unfortunately the selections were pretty limited and some food was cold/not warm, thus the taste was rather disappointing. Location - No doubt that the hotel is situated in the center of gangnam district, but there's pretty nothing much to explore near the hotel. The nearest convenience store is located at Hak Dong subway station (5mins walk). However it would be convenient to get to Cheongdam, Konkuk University or Express Bus Terminal. Traveling to places like Hongdae or Myeongdong would take at least 45mins by subway.
"business hotel, high quality stay"
IMPERIAL PALACE is located in one of the most elegant areas of Seoul, Kangnam Ku, capital of business district of Seoul. Elegant hotel, luxury with impeccable and efficient staff. Always fast responding to all possible requests. I've been long time guest of this hotel and I still will be going there since my expectations remain high as their performance
"Beautiful Hotel with Amazing Staff"
Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Good central location in Gangnam. Really enjoyed the amenities within the hotel and walking around the interior admiring all the old artifacts they showcase. Bathroom within the room are very modern and the stool they provide is a nice touch to get ready in front of the mirror. Would stay again.
"Just A big Hotel"
Hotel was big, room was standard, breakfast was standard and had the same menu every day. I stayed in this hotel for the congress and workshop. Four nights at this hotel seemed very long. Had been to another starred hotel but with more convinient experience.
"Grand hotel with some improvement needs"
The imperial palace is a very impressive hotel, it has a big entrance with extremely attentive staff who do everything to help you. On arrival we were advised that we were upgraded from the rooms we booked and I had a large room with a large desk, a lot of space and bathroom with bath, shower and a make up desk, but no view on the city unfortunately. We had dinner in the downstairs area which we felt was slightly expensive (although this might be due to the current exchange rate for GBP) and both meals were delicious but only lukewarm. The gym area is very big and almost like a little maze, we had great fun with the massage belts! Some of the machines were already quite old but there were new ones dotted about so it was just luck with what was available when you came in. The pool is large, way larger than I've seen in a while and very clean, but only open until 9.30pm. What I liked was that clothing was provided so everyone was wearing white shorts and blue t-shirts ! Breakfast was outstanding, literally all tastes were catered for, from the typical English fry up to breads, sweet things to clam chowder, beef porridge, fish and steak. All in all a really lovely hotel, in need of some small upgrades but the staff are wonderful and it still is rather impressive!
