"PERFECT FOR RESTING"
We felt there was a lack of soul in this hotel. It is not well managed and the people working there seem bored. The clientele is discreet and mostly made of couples. There was a mic mac with our reservation and we were upgraded to the double room villa which was great though too big for two. We enjoyed its private pool a lot and would come back. The French chef is very nice but cares more about surfing than cooking : it was an ok experience but not so great and expensive as he has a great experience with stared chefs in France and as it is the only French restaurant on the island. Better to eat balinese food in a small restaurant. Don't forget to rent a scooter if you want to discover some of the damaged beauties of the island.
"Bed Bugs and management that doesn't take it seriously"
Bed bugs can happen anywhere- and they happened to us at this otherwise lovely place 2 weeks ago. When we woke up to find the bed bugs in our bed, the next morning they at first blew us off by saying that sometimes there are bugs. We then went a second time and emphasized that we needed to move rooms because it was specifically bed bugs we had a problem with. Sure there are bugs, but tropical bed bugs are a serious issue. Later that day they moved us, but that room also had evidence of bed bugs. So did the 3rd room they showed us. They tried to say that it was droppings or bugs from the thatch roof ceiling, but they have netting over the beds and the bed bug poop I was seeing was under the pillows. They moved us to a room that didn't have evidence of bugs, but I noticed in our original room (which they kindly left available to us so we could make sure none of our belongings were left there), all they did was spray and change the bed sheets and it was once again available for rental. They offered to do our laundry and then attempted to charge us for it. It's like the workers understood what kind of bugs we were dealing with but the management, and presumably the owner who was on site, just blew us off. They didn't comp us a thing, didn't apologize, didn't respond. The food is pretty to look at but lacking in fresh ingredients and taste. The location is gorgeous, the pools are divine and the staff is very friendly. Can't beat the view at breakfast, though when you're itchy from bed bug bites it ruins the effect a bit.
If you are not price sensitive and want to stay on the island... I suppose Lembongan Beach Club and Resort is probably the best... reviews showed Indiana K above average but the stay was bearly tolerable... salty water in showers.. dark rooms to hide the dirt.. air con that dont cool...
"Nice hotel close to the beach"
We stayed for three days and found the reception staff very friendly the rooms were nice with a pretty garden. The restaurant is really good for dinner On the flip side, breakfast was very limited, literally eggs or one pancake. Beach furniture was inappropriate for the weather, it was unbearably hot as the fabric was meant for a different use
"Beautifully appointed Island Villa"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the a/c villa with a king-sized bed, lovely shower with amenities and outside veranda. The staff was helpful and friendly both at reception and the restaurant. The front desk helped us plan two great day excursions around Lembongan/Ceningan and also a full day to Nusa Penida. The restaurant offers unique and flavorful dishes that are served with great panache. The freshness of the salads and fruit was wonderful and the evening ambience was delightful. The hotel is located on Panorama Beach, and secluded from the hustle and bustle of Mushroom Beach and the ferry beach area. Highly recommend this hotel and will enjoy another visit soon.
