"very amazing short stay"
I was one of the winners for the MTV EMAs 2016 in Rotterdam and this was the hotel they gave us. Our room had an incredible view over Erasmus Bridge. It was fantastic! Since it was me and my boyfriend and had little time, we didn't have the chance to see the Spa but we were told it is beautiful. The room was very warm and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had all the facilities and products needed. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best surprise of the trip. Plenty of food and incredible too. We decide to have a dinner before the show on our last night. The staff is really polite and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant/bar area is so cozy and the huge windows make everything look better with the night view of the city. We had a soup, really delicious, pasta and salmon with fries. Everything was really delicious. We had an incredible stay, probably one of the best in our last 2 years of travelling. Definitely recommended.
"Short stay for work"
Stayed here for a couple of nights. Nice hotel. Staff was pleasant and the breakfast buffet was good. Eggs were like soup. I am from the USA so I am not sure if that is an European thing. The rooms were small but very clean. I had no ironing board but when I called down to the front desk I received one right away. The shower had great pressure but only half of a glass wall and the tub was high and you fell like you had to climb into it... This would be difficult for an elderly person. There were plenty of Taxi available or just use UBER, but this hotel is a short walk from some nice restaurants. I would stay here again..
"Great location, tiny rooms"
The check in experience was good at this hotel, very friendly and helpful staff in true Dutch style. Rooms, were in my experience are exceptionally small. I am still somewhat put off by the purple window curtain the base room was reasonably okay and fairly clean, however, there wasn't much in the way of creature comforts, the TV was on the small side and the bathroom even smaller. I found myself struggling to dry myself in the small space of the bathroom. Water temperature of the shower, fluctuated from time to time too. Breakfast offerings were okay, with a sensible variety on offer. The bar was fairly nice though. Although nothing was particularity bad, I would find myself struggling to recommend this establishment and would look to alternate options, should I come back to the area again.
"Old fashioned business hotel"
I stayed here for one night for a business trip. Very slow service at check-in. Old fashioned rooms (damaged walls, old furniture, bathroom needs refurbishment).... And, charging 23,50 for breakfast is really over priced Not the best hotel in Rotterdam Center for this price.
The rooms are of adequate size. Some people might not like the low ceiling though. I liked that my room had a huge window which overlooked the Erasmus Bridge and Maas River. There are a few places nearby within walking distance, so its location is not too bad.
