"Perfect location, excellent staff"
Nice hotel perfectly located in the center. We had a panorama top view room (11th floor), which means excellent view on the harbour and Erasmus bridge but also on the busy streets below. Room is nice but not huge. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was one party upstairs some floors up but the reception was super helpful in getting the DJ to lower the volume. Great breakfast with long hours for late wake-up. Worth coming back to this hotel as Rotterdam deserves another visit!
"Comfortable hotel conveniently located and reasonably priced"
The hotel is in a central location. The reception on arrival was welcoming and quick. The lifts upto the rooms are a little old and in need of tidying up but the rooms were modern and clean, albeit a little small. The buffet breakfast was included in the room price and was plentiful. The restaurant where you eat breakfast was alongside the water so you have a fantastic view when eating.
We booked this hotel because it is one of the few affordable hotels in Rotterdam with a pool. However the moment we entered the room we found a little card explaining that the pool and wellness area were closed for renovation. They did not tell us this the moment we booked (via their own site!) nor at the reception during check-in. Only when I demanded my money back at the reception, did they offer us 'free' access to the adjoining hotel's welness centre (without a pool). Apart from this all, the hotel is ok, but nothing special. It is a walking distance from the city centre, but so are many other hotels. The rooms are clean and the WiFi works. The breakfast buffet was extensive, but it did not feel luxurious compared to the price.
"Live like a king and be treated like one too"
I attended a three day business meeting at this hotel this past week. It is a five star hotel for good reason. From the location to the staff, it is the best of the best. My room had a shower, hot tub, and sauna IN THE ROOM. I've never seen a full size hot tub in a hotel room (not in the bathroom but by the window in front of the king sized bed) let alone a sauna in a hotel room. The bathroom mirror had lights and a TV in the mirror itself. This hotel is centrally located in the older section and easy walking to virtually everything. The water taxi departs at the foot of the hotel's Rotterdam harbor bulkhead, and the Maritime Museum (well worth the visit) is right next door. Great dining in the hotel restaurant and a very spacious bar area and al fresco dining on the water side. With great views of Rotterdam, this hotel will leave you rested, well fed, and feeling like you are Royalty. The spa on the 8th floor had people coming out the door carried on a spatula they were so relaxed.
Loved our stay at the Intel, the staff were super friendly and very helpful, the hotel is perfectly located and the breakfasts were everything you could hope for. The only downside was the temperamental wi-fi. It was either very slow or completely dormant. We repeatedly phoned reception about this and they would re-set the router which gave us service for a period before dropping off again. For important work it was easier to take my laptop down to the lobby and do it from there. The hotel really needs to address this issue.
