First time at I'con AUH. Well planned by Imran Khan and hotel staff took care of us well. Neat rooms, attentive staff especially at Selection restaurant. Service and Kitchen staff are all super cool. Will recommend and return
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and are very pleased and satisfied with this hotel. It’s maybe not the newest hotel, but it’s excellent in its hospitality and service. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff in general were great in providing service and looking after you. Since we stayed in a Club room we also had access to the Club lounge. The staff in the Club lounge was excellent, really taking care of you, you feel like you belong to a family. The location is perfect in Abu Dhabi, only a couple of minutes away from the Corniche and malls. We can highly recommend this hotel. Mr & Mrs Rydmark
"Nov 2016 F1 plus weeks stay."
to my way of thinking AbuDhabi is not a holiday destination as such , however for a short break it is utterly inspiring and different , truly a must see place , its all there , ambience, inferstructure, culture, peace and quiet yet within a quiet bustling city, with buildings to die for and boy are they cool and creatively massive.,the markets/malls are sooperb, and its not an expensive place.Tip,you don't need a car, there are 6000 silver taxis v v reasonable and v helpful, all speak English or at least understandTip,hire a bicycle and ride along the cornice, best day out ever, bikes are about £12 for the day,and worth every penny, fabulous. I stayed at the Intercontinental, near the embassy and palaces,an excellent location just off the Corniche (best area),from the outside the hotel looks like a 70s concrete block, which it is , but don't judge a book etc , from the concierge onwards you are made to feel special, quite naturally, its smart, rather grand and efficient, all staff are willing and able and just get things done and will willingly give sound advice. there are many restaurants ,(pricy)but I did a deal with the on duty manager and got the buffet all day at a very reasonable price very!!!.this is really all you need because its all there, you name it,or they'll get it for you ,its fresh and fabulous, the hotel has all the facilities you could wish for ,piano bar with live violinist, spa ,two sooperb pools bars restaurants, all rooms have views to die for, city or ocean all are v good,i had city and could watch the lights and crazy building light shows all night, the outside bar in the evenings is especially good with waiter service if you wish or you can go to the bar like I did and chat, prices are same as uk.and all brands are there even Guiness ,well it is the U A E, and money is hardly an issue as Ferraris are ten a penny. This Hotel has its own harbour and beach, which is very exclusive, however because there are so many man -made islands offshore, there are no waves and this tends to leave very salty standing water which is clean of course but you don't want a mouthful, but the man made beech works , its quiet and relaxing ,plenty of loungers and excellent changing/shower block. on the negative side the hotel plumbing needs a re vamp ,baths, sinks, showers take for ever to drain, and the fittings are fragile. all that said , I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed my stay,i woud return , but I don't need to, enjoy.
last 2 weeks ago we went to visit intercontinental hotel for our business trip we came was a huge group approximately more then 300 peoples visit us and gave us room keys in a separate room was set up and administer at the right time of the belonging fetched bell desk especially ali the person performed the timely delivered of our luggage. thanks to ali for managing. while we check out time i was get really surprised to see out side because they prepared state by state collecting our luggage so good organisation to this hotel i will come visit with my family to be here my room number is 415 sweet room given........
This hotel was an embarrassment. Where do I start .... Check in staff rude, the official photos provided by hotel are misleading - when you are on the 'beach' you overlook a pile of rocks, most of sunbeds haven't been cleaned (bird ****) all over them. We were told we would get our room with extra bed in 20 mins. It took 90 mins and the extra bed was still not there. In the bathroom the bath tap gave out black sludge, sink needed a plumber. So much more as well. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. Will never go to any InterContinental branch in the world because of this terrible experience. I don't believe the positive reviews on this site which fooled me to book. Avoid this hotel.
