"staff is very problem solving oriented"
i stayed at the intercontinental amman on my business visit; even though i did not get the chance to enjoy the facilities of the hotel, the staff served us was very professional. i appreciated each of them especially sima (guest relations), monica (concierge), omar (front office). i took an additional day to visit petra - it did worth each penny :) thank you very much intercontinental amman team!
I have been staying here for over two weeks and as a frequent business traveller I usually allow at least one weekend to pass before I make a review. Quite simply, wow! I'm overwhelmed at the superb service offered by this hotel, especially the club lounge. Nothing is any trouble at anytime of the day. The Manager ( or if she's not already, she should be!) Batool has an infectiously friendly demeanour that would be a credit to even the highest calibre of hotel. She should be seen as a definite diamond! Her staff are also a credit to this establishment. Along with the exceptional service offered, the club lounge food is also incredible. The hotels mixture of restaurants is superb and the facilities are also first class. The gym facilities are as good as any gym in the UK. Again the staff are fantastic and the place is spotlessly clean. Again a massive thank you to the 8th floor team for their incredible professionalism, you are all a credit and have added to the experience of staying in this fine establishment! Shukran
"Great Hospitality and Very Polite People"
I have visited Amman first time, a city with very little to do. The stay in Intercontinental Jordan has been a fantastic experience. A wonderful room consisted of two areas, a living room with a small bar for coffee, and a bedroom. Two toilets and all other facilities, extremely clean and very spacious. A whole family could live in a room booked for two. The hotel has fantastic restaurants especially the Indian one offers fantastic indian food, maybe the best i have ever tasted the last years. The personnel is extremely polite and very helpful on any matter, which as i notice is a characteristic in general of the people in Jordan. But also they are professional to guide the guests on any matter. The hotel is close to the city center in which there is not much to do. But the hotel itself and its staff offers perfect hospitality, few shops and fantastic restaurants that there is no need for me to go out at all.
"Lovely hotel but they need to ban smoking in common areas"
Over all we were very pleased with our stay. It was Easter so we received some Lebanese sweets and chocolate bunny/eggs in our room when we arrived. The bedroom had no windows which I felt was strange but I didn't mind as there's not much of a view anyway. We tried breakfast at both the main dining room and the Club Lounge. Both were excellent but we preferred the Club. In the evenings the Club allowed smoking inside which was extremely annoying. Whilst there were non-smoking areas, they were simply next to the smoking area and therefore smelt disgusting. Not what I would expect from the InterContinental brand. Also, drinks and canapés were until 8pm and the staff would pack up early. The first night we were there they did not inform us of last drinks and at 7:50pm I noticed the drinks had been packed away.
"Hotel Stay at the Amman Intercontinental"
My hotel room was large and the layout of the furniture was sensible. The desk was large and easily accommodated my computer, Ipad, and the plugs and USP ports for the iPhone. Ahmad Moustapha, who cleaned the room was sensitive to my needs, and wen I let him know I wanted more water, I was nearly drowning in it. I also had the choice of filtered coffee or Nespresso in my room. The business lounge is also a selling point. Very comfortable chairs and couches with an equally attentive staff. Fareed, Batool and Rajai attended to the guests at happy hour, and they did an excellent job. In the evening, the lounge would offer a special dish that was delicious in addition to a selction of canapes and sushi. The Health Center has an indoor pool for laps, and a well-equipped gym. My only disappointment with the gym was that they did not have a Concept 2 rowing machine. Otherwise the gym itself was fine. Another observation is that there is no way of taking the elevator to the ground floor to access the Health Spa. One has to take a separate elevator from the lobby to the ground floor. One feels conspicuous dripping with sweat after a run walking by business men in suits milling around. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is near the center of the city and close to several first-rate restaurants. The car service with car and driver offered by the hotel was very good, and I used it three times for meetings and travel to the airport.
