I had a quick business trip to the Buckhead InterContinental, and had a great experience. There had been a little mix up with booking my room, but Royce at the front desk resolved the matter quickly and made sure I was taken care of. I lead a presentation in one of the conference rooms in the afternoon, and everything went smoothly with AV and catering staff. And, as a bonus, it is a beautiful space.
"A Wonderful Massage!!"
Last week I had an amazing hot stone massage with Kala Evans.. WOW! She is by far the best therapist I have had the joy of experiencing! I will be back in the Fall to spend the whole day with her. Should you travel to Atlanta please get a service with Kala she is such a great spirit and her hands are AMAZING!!!
"Had a great stay at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta!"
Had the opportunity to stay at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta over the Easter Holiday. The hotel had all of the modern amenities of a 5 star hotel, outdoor pool, decent size gym, lovely lobby with entertainment in the evenings. The hotel is in a great location for shopping as well quite a few restaurant options. The rooms are very modern, large flat screen TV, desk and remodeled bathroom with a shower and tub. Check-In was a breeze. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The maid service was very good although a little on the slower side. Had Club floor access which offered a great breakfast, snacks and evening cocktails. Should my travels take me to Atlanta again I would definitely consider staying at InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. Fellow travelers feel free to book with confidence.
"Great Hotel and Great Location"
The Intercontinental Buckhead is a great place to stay. It is not what I would consider to be a true 5 star experience but overall was very nice. The staff was always ready to help and the rooms were nice.
"A weekend away for a volleyball tourney"
One of my kids plays volleyball and here and there we have to travel for tournaments. On this occasion I was intrigued to find out that we were going to Atlanta for the Big South Qualifier. Normally our volleyball excursions take us to Louisville, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Orlando, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, so Atlanta was a welcome change. We flew in late that evening so we didn't have to miss work or school and we picked up our rental car and headed to the hotel a little after midnight. We went a round about way to the hotel because earlier in the day I80 has collapsed under the heat of a fire. Once at the hotel we experienced a check-in wait due to the fact other volleyball families had arrived at the same time, so at 1am there was a line and limited staff to accommodate all the check-ins. The staff were friendly and provided bottled water to all of us as we waited. Check-in was smooth although my double room had been given to someone else so I was provided a king room and free breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. Note that the breakfast for 2 over the course of 3 days costs $162, so this was a nice perk. The king room was at the front of the hotel on the 4th floor and provided a nice view of the circle drive entry of the hotel. The room was nicely appointed and had a large bathroom with tub and walk in shower. We didn't use the tub at all and really didn't spend much time in the room other than getting ready and sleeping. One point to note was that we could hear the occupants of our neighboring room as if they were in our room. This was OK during the day but on Friday evening it was trying since these folks showed up at 3am and talked about their day and fun times which woke us and ensured we didn't have a solid night's rest. The bed and linens provided a comfortable rest otherwise. The pool on the 2nd floor was nice as were other amenities in the hotel including the onsite garage parking and the lobby bar. The location is great as well since guests are within walking distance of many restaurants and the MARTA train. Overall, I love the location of this hotel even though we had to drive downtown to the convention center for volleyball, it was nice coming back to the Buckhead area in the evenings. The hotel is really nice, and for this reason you pay a nice price as well. For less, I've staying in hotels that were just as nice and had the same level of amenities. Shop around and you might find better rates. I noticed the rates dropped right after the tournament ended.
