"Wedding at the pool"
Open air wedding started at4 pm the weather was warm and then nice with fresh air the DG and the sound system were perfect the buffet is rich and delicious and the service is really five stars the location of the hotel along the Nile cannot be better it is a happy night
We planned to spend 2 nights of relaxation in Cairo and we chose this hotel for its view over the Nile and we made a direct reservation with the hotel for a 2 nights Nile view superior room and we got the confirmation by email. We arrived at 15:20 and we were told the room is not ready yet and it will not be with a kingsize bed. Since we did not want to waste the day we accepted to get a city view room for just half an hour and to get our Nile view room when we return at night. We also paid for the 2 night Nile view room and we left our bags in the reception. When we got back at around 10 pm we were told we should settle for the city view room since they have no available Nile view rooms and they will refund the extra charge. When we insisted we should get the room not the money they offered a room on the 5th floor, right above the cafe with a minimal Nile view and with all the noises you could imagine till after 2 am. It was already approaching midnight and the kids were very tired so we accepted this room for one night and they promised to change the room the next day. Yet again when we asked for the other room the next afternoon they said they have no better room for us and we had to spend another noisy night above the cafe! On the other hand the room itself was good and clean and the breakfast buffet was very good. Free wifi was fine too and the room service was not bad.
"Friendly staff, great restaurants and great service"
We spent a week at the Semiramis and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were in Cairo on vacation and so was out touring during the days, but spent our evenings at the hotel. The free breakfast was a nice touch. Lots of variety. The food is made fresh and so you can get it right off the grill if you're willing to wait a minute or two. We tried three of the restaurants in the building and though all were very good, I would highly recommend the Birdcage (Thai). Service at each restaurant was of the highest quality, but I'll give Birdcage the edge based on the their very tasty food. We got our promised view of the Nile and it was good to be able to hang out on the balcony and see the Nile and hear the constant horns of Cairo! If I return to Northern Egypt, I will stay at the Semiramis again.
"Feels like Home! "
Intercontinental Semiramis is a lifestyle hub and a home at the heart of Cairo. It's where everyone you meet is a welcoming friend, the concierge is is personalized. Everyone calls you by your first name and the service is truly remarkable. They have an array of restaurants within the hotel that offer food from all over the world, but do not miss the fresh, hand-baked local bread every morning at Breakfast. I recommend Birdcage, it's the best Thai Resto in Egypt. The rooms are cozy, and my goodness, the beds are like sleeping on clouds. The sunset view from the balcony is sublime. You don't ever want to leave this hotel. Overall, 5 stars! Best, Lucas Raven
"Trip to Cairo"
Excellent location... Reasonably priced.... Very good security measures.... Usually pretty busy and lively lobby... Check in and Check out was slow in my case, not sure if this is the norm.... Highly recommend Nile view rooms in high floors, otherwise can be little noisy.... Bathrooms needs upgrading... Good Variety of in house restaurants... There is room to improve the breakfast menu and variety...
