"Impressive Service and Hospitality "
Warm greetings were offered as we entered the air conditioned, spacious lobby. Our room was not yet ready, so we were provided with drinks and refreshments in the club while waiting. Our room offered city and mountain views, and our Super King bed was comfortable and novel! The room was immaculate, and this level of cleanliness was maintained throughout our stay. The hotel staff assisted enthusiastically with our needs and requests. The outdoor pool was wonderful for swimming laps, and the gym offered a range of equipment with refreshments and very clean locker rooms. The hotel dining was excellent and included European and Malaysian options. We booked a car service through the hotel for airport transfers and it was excellent! Overall we received tremendous value for money on this hotel experience and highly recommend it to visitors to KL.
"Intercontinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur A standard 5 star hotel"
Stayed at Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur for 3 days to attend a conference in the same hotel. I found it to be standard, professional 5 star hotel, just about providing value for money. There were no deficiencies in services\amenities, while there were no extra ordinary points as regards services\amenities which struck me. The hotel is located in downtown area and many offices, malls, tourist attractions are located in nearby areas. The check in was very quick. [It was subcontracted to our conference organizer.] The room and restroom were reasonably sized and were fitted with standard amenities. The business centre was smallish.SPA was closed down for repairs. Swimming pool and gym, like rest of the facilities were just about ok. The conference facility at the main hall as well as side rooms for small sessions was average. the vegetarian food at restaurant as well as conference hall needs some improvement.. Overall nothing to praise at the same time no major shortcomings.
"Perfection got even better"
We had a Perfect stay for a short stopover with more than perfect services and offerings. This was just a short three night stopover for our first Short weekend KL trip. The Welcome reception was friendly, very helpful and creative with a quick payable upgrade offer, all perfect as well as the check out. I could get the membership upgrade, and the Exec Launch access, very well and all as expected for this Price class, and welcome fruits, snacks and fresh prepared as well. The rooms and floors seem to be bit older and the carpet needs renewal, but nothing really to complain. Breakfast is great as always and a highlight with a stunning view. Location is perfect between for HopOnHopOff bus and Underground transportation, close to Petronas Towers nightlife and several shopping malls. consierge service was excellent and important. Staff very friendly and professional. Definetely a good choice to come back for another quick stopover!
I didn’t expect to fall in love with the Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur but I did. I had been zipping all over the world on business and everything was sort of melding into a blur of cities and countries and hotels. I had barely taken time to stop and think in 10 days. So when I entered the Intercontinental KL I was expecting much of the same, but that didn’t happen. I started to take notice of the little things that mattered. The staff were incredibly friendly, well-presented and helpful. Check-in was fluid and faultless. My City View room was perfect with all the amenities and space I could possibly want. I didn’t have to call the front desk for an electrical adaptor because they were provided in the room. I had a coffee machine, a small selection of cold beers in the mini bar, a welcome fruit bowl and a really comfortable king-sized bed. Above all else the room was clean. Better still, I could get laundry done promptly (my suitcase was busting from used and dirty clothing). Note to myself: take more clothing when in a humid climate! The Club Intercontinental lounge was perfect. The buffet food was way better than in San Francisco (I have to admit I was in another Intercontinental hotel there!). Although it did not have a view, I didn’t care. I did eat at two of the restaurants: Tao Chinese Cuisine and Tatsu Japanese. They both deserve their well-earned recognition for excellence. The location was perfect and central to so many tourist attractions as well as the CBD and the must sees like the Petronas Twin Towers (the hotel booked my tour and you need to do this in advance) and the Batu Caves. I used the concierge services who almost mapped out my entire stay over three days, even knowing that I was going to stay at another competing hotel property. First class service, definitely luxury and a must-return-to place when I next visit KL.
"Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!"
I was just in KL earlier this month, with some friends, on vacation. RICO was an incredible concierge that knew so much about the city and really made us feel welcome. The Hotel was gorgeous and the rooms were quite large with great views. Our server, JASON, was also excellent! He made us laugh and really enjoy our time in the hotel as well. The breakfast that is served here is delicious and has a little of everything. Housekeeping was very efficient our rooms was super clean. THANK YOU! If I am ever back in KL, I will definitely be staying at the InterContinental!!
