"Nice option in Centeal Jakarta "
Ayana (I've only stayed at Ayana properties in Bali) has taken over the former Intercontinental in central Jakarta. It's an older hotel that needs some upgrades (can fault IHG for not putting money into it!) but the amenities are great. Nice gym, fantastic food, nice pool as well and the staff are great and super welcoming. Sure there are newer properties from other brands, but value for dollar here can't be beat. It is a bit tricky to find (especially for uber drivers) and traffic can definitely be a challenge in the evenings. But you would be hard pressed to find something traffic free in Jakarta! Just be mindful of where your office and meeting locations are if that matters to you
Perhaps not the best hotel around, but surely one of the finest hotel and good for value hotel. Nice ambience, very good service, comfort and cozy place. Recommend place to stay for business or leisure.
"Memorable experience during stay in Ayana Midplaza Jakarta."
It was my first time for me to stay in ayana midplaza on April 6th, actualy i came to visit wedding invitation. when I came hotel the doorman greeting so warm to me,, and the front desk agent handle so fast when I ask him to take me to my room that had been check in by my family before in room 930. in the evening i came front desk to ask a great place to spend Saturday night, she suggested me to visit a place, she directions that place so kindly and friendly if I'm not wrong her name is Miss. Devina as front desk agent. The food is perfect especially for norwegian salmon & rib-eye steak with rare cooked. For the breakfast over all was good, i met Miss. Farah who incharge in waffle & pancake corner, she so humble when we make conversation during i was waiting my pancake done. its recommend hotel to visit that has strategic location..
Nice hotel with generally friendly and polite staff. There were some renovation works going on during my stay. The room is clean and well equipped with the necessary amenities. Wi-Fi works well too. Had dinner at one of their restaurants (can't remember the name, it was the main restaurant where you have buffet breakfast) - the food at the buffet line doesn't quite look appetizing. I ordered from their ala carte menu and food was alright.
"Not your typical IHG"
The hotel has an excellent location and the capacity to be easily five stars. To my understanding IHG is pulling their flag off by the end of this month. You can tell that it is not a smooth handover to many missed service opportunities. The staff try to please you. Hard to deny that. But there is no empowerment for the simplest requests. The hotel is undergoing renovations, if relaxation or business is your goal temporarily pick a different hotel. There were too many inconsistencies in food and beverage and housekeeping. I can go on and on, IHG should handle transition better or just pull their flag so they will not lose loyal customers. Again I do not fault the staff - I fault the mgmt team. Times such as these - senior mgmt should be visible. All in all I did not get the usual IHG service.
