Right on Times Square, this New York luxury hotel is perfectly placed in the epicentre of Manhattan’s theatre, dining, fashion and business districts.

We booked Double Beds Sky View Room and spent 6 nights. The location is good in terms of being close to Time Square, Rockefeller Center etc., but can be quite noisy also during the night. Our room overlooked 8th Avenue and we experienced a lot of noise from the street, even if our room was on the 32. floor. We asked the reception if they could offer us some less noisy room, the response was something like "it could be even worse, be happy with the room where you stay now". So quite disappointing approach from "5* hotel". No personal attention, no real feel that someone is caring of you. The quality of service is rather 4*. Also because of old fashioned AC (also quite noisy) and rather average cleanliness of the room. Rooms are rather small, but beds were comfortable. My overall impression: overpriced for the value you get. Next time I will look around and will rather stay some blocks farther from the Time Square in exchange of less noise and better value for money I spend.
This is my third time to stay at the Times Square Intercontinental. I'm a platinum elite IHG club member and look forward to these weekend getaways. This is no doubt a great location; Easy access to everything. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are nicely appointed and tastefully designed. We got a 28th floor sky view corner room with great views of the city. Room was tiny, though. Literally only room for a a king bed and a small chair -- expected for most NYC hotels but previous stays here were more spacious. The troubling part of this experience isn't the physical surroundings, however. The hotel staff seem disinterested. Bell hops don't open doors are and are observed on their phones instead of greeting guests. Front desk staff appear bored. Concierge picked up the phone to make a call as we approached to ask a question. Housekeeping woke us up on Saturday morning and returned an hour later despite our request for a specific time to service the room -- and then we had to call when they never returned hours after the requested time. All in all, it was a luxury hotel that felt anything but luxurious.
"Superb hotel - well located"
Just landed back in the UK after a 4 night stay at the InterContinental Time Square. We had a fantastic time and your hotel is lovely, thank you for the upgrade to the sky view room - the view was amazing, especially on Thursday when it was clear and sunny. The rooms are a good size, the shower and bed are great. One thing to state that would improve the stay would be complimentary water instead of charging an astronomical price for it in the mini bar. See you next year hopefully Mr McCall
"Great location, ok staff"
Great location- a block from Times Square, walking distance to many midtown attractions including Madison Square Garden. We were upgraded upon arrival and stayed on the 24th floor. Our room was nice- a nice view and far from the street noise. However, the room across the hall from us had lock issues so one morning we were woken up by housekeeping yelling at maintenance and the next morning we were woken up by the drill when they were fixing the door. Also heard a couple screaming at each other in the middle of the night one night (maybe that's why the door was broken''). The front desk staff was helpful, nothing special. The concierge were all amazing and quick to help with everything we needed. The bell staff, not so much. Every time we entered or left they were all just talking to each other. Not what I'd expect from an Intercontinental. The subway is just steps outside the door and we never had an issue getting an Uber. However, the wait for a taxi was very long and we ended up taking a "recommended partner car service" to the airport...
"Good conference hotel"
I stayed here for several days for a conference. The location was great: right next to the subway and near a number of decent restaurants suitable for team events. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was appropriately-sized. There wasn't much of a view to speak of, but that was unimportant given that I was there for work and wouldn't have had a chance to appreciate one anyway. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't complimentary bottled water in the room, but I made do with tap water and my trusty water bottle. I didn't get a chance to use the gym, but I'm glad it was there. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would return for work, though probably not for leisure.
