Right on Times Square, this New York luxury hotel is perfectly placed in the epicentre of Manhattan’s theatre, dining, fashion and business districts.
Superior Service and incredible location. From the moment of checking in until checking out staff was friendly and professional. I definitely would recommend this property to and others and will be a returning guest.
Now I am by no means a frequent traveler but I love this place. I have a very picky wife and with the 100's of places to stay in NYC I won't stay anywhere but here. Martin (sorry last name name slips my mind) got me in my room right away and even gave me an upgrade. I'll be planning my trip for later this year and I will only be starting at The Intercontinental.
"5 days in New York "
Good position in town near Times Squares. Family room confortable and very clean. Bed too short for people over 190 cm tall. Best solution to visit the heart of New York. The windows are not ok to reduce the external noise level.
"Spacious and clean rooms."
Good value for money. We had a clean and spacious room. Beds and pillows are absolutely fantastic. For a little contact that we had with the staff they were very polite and efficient. The location of the place is excellent. I would definitely recommend the place!
"Well located for Broadway shows"
The InterContinental is a short 3-10 minute walk from most Broadway theatres and the many restaurants that offer pre-theatre dining. There is a subway entrance 30 steps from the hotel entrance which is great during inclement weather. Without changing lines, we took the train to the 14th Street Station for a walk on the Highline, to the W 4th St Station to enjoy Washington Square Park, NYU, Greenwich Village and to the WTC Station for a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. From the hotel, we walked about fifteen minutes to Bryant Park to people watch in the park and to visit the gorgeous Rose Reading Room in the NY Public Library. Another day, we walked about fifteen minutes from the hotel to Grand Central Station (love the 70+ year old old school Grand Central Oyster Bar and the photo ops and smell of spices in Grand Central Market). The IC is very close to Times Square but away from the crowds and craziness. From the bellmen to the front desk to the concierge, we had a very positive first impression of the InterContinental. We also enjoyed several drinks/meals in the Stinger Lounge/Breakfast Room and the service we received was courteous and efficient. Our room was always clean when we returned in the afternoon. We'll definitely stay at the IC again when we return to NYC for Broadway shows.
