"Good resort & light up my friend birthday "
This is my first time Stay with intercontinental. I booked limousine from airport to hotel! Warm greeting from them.. I was surprised that they've called me for asking me any stay preferences. I have booked romantic beachfront dinner. My birthday friend's was surprised. Nice decoration and environment but the food.. unfortunately is not 5 stars hotel level. There has a bar called "infinite", it is good for chilling with beautiful view during sunset. Breakfast buffet is very variable.. especially fruits! Spa also ok with reasonable price! (Very cozy) I think that shuttle bus to central world can be add more route. Overall, it was nice stay with them. I will come back if I go pattaya again.
We stayed for a week as a couple and had a really special time at this hotel. We were given a fabulous room which was newly renovated and had an amazing bath/swimming tub. We did a number of activities at the hotel including a fabulous cookery day, the chef and the the lady who helped with translating were amazing. We visited the spa and had fantastic massages. My husband told me it was the best holiday he had ever had - though I put that down to the fact it's first holiday we've had with out our children in 18 years!! I know it it close to Pattaya and all its obvious problems but Intercontinental Pattaya is truly a fabulous oasis well away from the madness of the city with amazing views. The hotel manager was more than fantastic and on are last day we got the pleasure of eating in the club lounge for breakfast - it had just opened. My husband is an ambassador spire elite and I am rarely disappointed by the fantastic reception we receive from any IHG hotel.
"We have gorgeous memories."
Daylight meeting room is very impressive and the scenery is also beautiful. Event coordinator is very smart, good solution and nice. Don't miss any delightful and delicious foods in their restuarants. The room is elegant and room service is quick. All resort area is peaceful. There is no even one complain from our group.
"Overall a great stay"
A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights, and for the most part enjoyed our stay. Staying from Tuesday – Friday, it was very peaceful and the views were fantastic! At check in we were immediately up sold for their breakfast buffet. It was a great breakfast, but then just when we were eating, they tried to up sell us on their seafood bbq dinner. We voiced our displeasure with this, and they made it right by offering 50% off the dinner. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent by the way. I was hoping for a better view from the affinity pools, as the restaurant stands between them and the ocean. The shuttle was very convenient as well. I would say this place is more for families/ couples looking for a quieter area as it is definitely a nice resort. As I was more interested in the nightlife, I’d be more likely to stay closer to Walking Street.
"Amazing hotel but food let down "
As soon as we walked in we thought wow, we are really going to love this hotel. We could even hear the birds sing. So relaxing and peaceful and nice and quiet no hustle and bustle no kids running around etc just what we wanted. We did have to wait a few hours to be checked in but we did come early. We were offered water and went and explored. Three massive pools, which weren't ever packed. Pool side service was amazing they even cleaned my sun glasses for me. They really go all out on service. Water bottles offered on pool side and at the private beach. Our room was very big and clean. Our views were amazing. House keeping was great and always on top of things. We were always left with a nice flower every day which was sweet. Morning buffet was pretty good, not too big just a nice variety of foods. Eggs made to order even scrambled which were delicious. Coffee was nice too. We had the seafood BBQ dinner the first night by the beach we were looking forward to it. You actually sit on the beach is was beautiful. The food was the biggest letdown I just couldn't believe for such a upper market hotel for them to cook food this bad. My husband asked one of the staff to cook him a fresh kebab because the one sitting there for god knows how long looked so dry, and they wouldn't do it. The seafood wasn't fresh and the cooked ones were sitting out and getting cold. Why not just cook it fresh. The buffet addition to the dinner was a let down as well. The deserts were beautiful although being outside in the elements the chocolate cake was covered in ants. Then next day I felt terribly ill now I can't blame this dinner for it as I am not not sure if it made me sick, could have been something else I ate... The infinity bar was great, beautiful views and delicious cocktails. We also had dinner and it was another letdown. We ordered pizza and didn't eat it. We ordered bruschetta and it was soggy and super sweet. Again another disappointing meal. Room service and the restaurant elements which come from the same kitchen were the nicest meals we've had at the hotel. Pity we didn't try them earlier. We also had a beautiful lady looking after us her nick name was Noi. She really took our dinner to another level. We thank her for the efforts made to make our stay more enjoyable. We also mentioned to her the experiences we had at the other restaurants and before we knew it the next day we had the restaurant manager talk to us and they really wanted to know everything that happened and how they could improve on overall service . It was really important to them. They were so good about it and gave us a refund for terrible meals we had. We found that fantastic as we are not ones to really complain. Location was very far from main centre, free shuttle service which was good, I think they need to look at the hours and change them around a bit as sometimes you just needed to go out for an hour but you had to wait two hours to get picked up. Overall staff and hotel was faultless and if we were to come back to Pattaya we would definitely stay here again
