I stayed in this hotel for three nights, location is great, need to refresh the hotel rooms, room was clean and cozy. Liked the hotel limousine service with WIFi, food in the hotel was great, staffs are nice and friendly.
"Been there twice for business. Got to say the experience is worse than last year"
Staffs are nice and friendly.honestly speaking, breakfast and hotel facility is worse than last year, Apart from the newly built up Sofital. This is the only choice if you are visiting Phnom penh. $12 from airport to the hotel. The hotel is an historic building with long history. I wound't say the price is fair given the service quality.
"A little run down for an Intercontinental brand"
Phnom Penh Intercon was not as luxurious as other Intercontinental properties but was comfortable enough. Love that they have a pillow menu to suit individual traveler's needs. Breakfast was good enough for international travelers and a very nice touch with made-to-order fresh juices.
"Comfortable but dated"
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 24-27 October. It is not exactly near any tourist spots or much shopping nearby. A few restaurants n cafes within walking distance. Overall is comfortable but not worth the price. Good: - Good breakfast spread -Fresh juice corner where u can create your own concoction - pool looks nice n has a resort feel - Gym is of a decent size and equipment is quite new - room is spacious n bed is comfy - amenities n facilities is quite complete (safe, ironing, coffee/tea toiletries & etc) So so : - location isn't great, not much happening around the hotel area - the hotel n rooms look dated, need to refresh the look n feel - no spa or massage service in the hotel
"Location as a tourist hotel sucks"
This is an older 5 star property with an incredibly good staff. The restaurant inside is excellent but expensive. The pool is very nice as are other facilities on the property. I only stayed here because I could use only 5000 IHG points per night during a special quarterly promotion. I could not afford to eat the 29.00 usd for their buffet breakfast but you can easily walk outside and eat cheaply at the street food vendors. There is also the citi mall less than a mile away. Very few other restaurant choices in the area. Quite a distance from the main tourist areas. Had much reluctance from tuk tuk drivers to actually drive up on the hotel property but you can easily catch one on the street. Very friendly and helpful staff.
