"Very comfortable hotel in very central location"
This hotel was right in the centre of Prague within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions and situated on the banks of the river . The staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere, overall, was very relaxing. The hotel swimming pool and leisure area was very modern and well equipped. We did not eat in the hotel but there are plenty of good quality and reasonably priced restaurants close by .
"Good restaurants in older hotel"
Liked the food and quality, friendliness of staff. Location is next to perfect on the river banks and in the old city. The overall impression is that this hotel is older and a bit outdated on style amd design. One can also say it is traditional. Rooms are spacious and complete. Breakfast buffet is a treat.
"Overall very good but needs quality control."
Pros: - Location: (Walking) Charles Bridge (12mins), Astronomical Clock (7mins), Old Town Square (6mins), Old Town Hall (7mins), Rudolfinum (5mins). - Bathroom amenities: Soap bar, body wash, shampoo, body lotion, shower cap, tissues, ear buds, hair dryer (average quality). - Free in-room WiFi. - Good quality and fast room service. - Easy to use colour laser printer in the lobby. - Extremely high quality breakfast with great (and some fascinating and unusual) options. Cons: - As others have mentioned re. bathroom amenities: More than once, soap and shampoo were not replaced, even if the empty bottles were left on the sink. Also surprising, for a 5-star hotel, there is no conditioner, shoe shine cloth or slippers available in-room. Another thing regarding the amenities, bring your own body lotion, the supplied one stings on your skin in winter when your skin is dry from the cold due to the lemon in the cream. - The shoe shine service is not up to 5-star hotel standard. They only gloss over them with a clear shoe sponge. - Dry cleaning service also not up to standard. Formal shirt collars were not pressed at all and had to be re-ironed manually in the room. - Scales in the room are a nice touch, pity they were broken. - Staff mixed. Clearly need more consistent training. Some breakfast staff ask if you want coffee when you are seated and go to prepare it for you, others tell you to just use the machine, others prepare ‘espresso’ in large coffee mugs. Massage staff, one was great and the other talked the entire massage about her personal problems (extremely unprofessional!). FYI, Laundry Costs (same day service) - Trousers: CZK400 (EUR15, USD16) - Shirt: CZK270 (EUR10, USD11) - Underwear: CZK150 (EUR/USD6) - Socks: CZK105 (EUR/USD4) - Jacket: CZK410 (EUR15, USD16) - Suit (2 piece): CZK810 (EUR30, USD32) - Vest: CZK230 (EUR/USD9)
My stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Prague was absolutely amazing. They treated us like royalty and made us feel very welcome. From the time we stepped into the hotel lobby to the time we checked out the staff met our every need. The staff was extremely polite, professional and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was superb. The location was very convenient and allowed us to walk to many attractions. We also had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at the hotel which was delicious, with extremely attentive staff. I would happily stay at this hotel again and recommend the hotel to my family and friends.
Great location in the old town within easy walking distance of main attractions. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a little dated. Cleanliness was satisfactory but not exceptional. Rooms a little dated. Hotel has a decent gym and swimming pool.
