"Avoid if you need to use the Internet "
The hotel rooms are fine, with some good views from some of the rooms. Quiet and clean. The biggest problem was that I couldn't work in my room properly because the Internet is so slow and erratic. My colleagues on different floors had the same experience. We had to find coffee shops nearby to work in instead. This is totally unacceptable- I expect much better at this price point. The hotel's business centre also gouges you if you need to print anything: $9 for eight single sided pages. Ouch! These experiences are making me rethink where I stay next time I come to Toronto for business.
"Convenient Location for Work and Fun "
This is my first choice in Toronto. Convenient location immediately next to Union Station makes travel from the airport to the hotel a breeze. The lobby is nicely appointed with a restaurant and bar immediately to your left upon entry. The rooms are nice especially facing Lake Ontario. You can get a great view of the lake front and Rogers Centre/CN Tower complex. The hotel location makes walking to meetings in the business center of the city a breeze. If you're looking for fun, the major sports arenas are a short walk away and there are plenty of bars nearby. In colder/inclement weather, the building immediately across the street has the access to the underground Path system. It allows you to navigate the city without braving the elements. It's not always the budget choice but when it falls within my expense guidelines, this is where I stay.
"Hotel of Choice when in Toronto "
The Intercontinental Toronto Centre is always our first choice when visiting the city. We are Aspire IHG members and always have a wonderful stay here. Rooms are perfect. We have stayed in everything from King Corner suite to the 2 room suite and the bilevel suite with spiral staircase. Any room will make you feel pampered. From the moment you walk into the grand lobby filled with stunning abstract paintings you will be greeted and all of your requests taken care of. The staff remember us at each check in and even our 3 little dogs who we always travel with. This hotel is prime location to the Rogers Centre (toronto blue jays), the Air Canada Centre (concerts and hockey), the waterfront, Steam Whistle Brewery, the CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium. Be sure to dine in Azure or just order room service. Always a great dining experience.
"Five days in town for Grey Cup"
Six of us stayed here for five days. Great downtown location. Lots of things to do within walking distance Clean and modern rooms. Comfy beds. Great housekeeping. All the staff I dealt with over five days were very friendly and helpful. Nice lobby restaurant and lounge. Would definitely stay again and is very easy to recommend.
"Another awesome stay at InterContinental Toronto Center"
Stay at InterContinental Toronto Center for two nights during the week of November 14 and it was great, again! This hotel never fails to impress. Every stay is excellent! Moreover, it has the best location in downtown Toronto.
