"A Comfortable and Great Night Out"
Our first time staying at the InterContinental Toronto Centre but we'll be back. My wife and I spent part of the family day weekend there and were quite impress. The room (king suite) was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was a very busy weekend in Toronto and at the hotel but at all times the staff were attentive and helpful.
"Basically they are thieves"
Had to cancel my reservation due to illness. They said a deposit was forfeit if I did. I asked how much. They said the full amount of my booking. $981. Dont stay here under any circumstances. They have not had to deliver one services and I canceled a week in advance and they still want to steal my money The business is too competitive to be ripping off customers. They will lose business in the end. Why do they do it'
"Quality hotel in a great location"
I stayed on a Friday night in February. What I appreciated most about this hotel was that I got all the benefits of being in a central location, but still got to sleep in an incredibly quiet room. Also, the lobby and hallways had a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. After making my last minute booking, I realized that I was staying in a hotel attached to the convention center... which was hosting the Auto show! However, the noise and traffic of the surrounding area had absolutely no impact on my stay. The hotel is ideally located within Toronto's downtown core, which is not just a business district. From the hotel, you can walk to the main tourist attractions, sports events, theaters, clubs, restaurants, and stores. The hotel is very close to the regional airport, and a block away from Union Station, which has subway, bus and rail service, including an express train to the main airport. The room, itself was stylish and comfortable; about what you would expect for Intercontinental and the price. I didn't have a chance to use any of the restaurants or recreational facilities. The staff is professional, friendly, and efficient; again what you would expect for the brand and price.
This hotel is in a great location for the convention centre. The rooms are large (by UK standards) & clean. Great facilities & modern decor. It makes other Intercon's look really dated !Ask for a room overlooking the lake - beautiful !
Took the family here during July 4th weekend, and of course is around Canada Day as well. So lots of people. We were upgraded to the mini suite because I'm Platinum Ambassador of IHG. We had the perfect view of the CN Tower, which I could lay next to the window at night and watch the CN Tower lights change colors. Lots of attractions with in walking distance, very convenient.
