"Would choose this hotel again if staying in this part of Toronto"
We stayed here for the first time in March and were very satisfied with our choice. The staff was outgoing, friendly and helpful. We booked a package which included breakfast and were pleased to find it was a full breakfast, served at the table rather than buffet style. Only ate breakfast there but it was very good. We booked a King Deluxe room and found it to be quite spacious with a decent sitting area. Bedroom and bathroom were both clean and well maintained. Our room did not face Bloor and it was very quiet.
"Great hotel, great location, friendly helpful staff"
My wife and I stayed at the Intercontinental Toronto Yorkville Hotel on March 16 and 17, 2017 in Toronto. The location is on the North edge of downtown. The Royal Ontario museum is across the street. Good restaurants and shopping are within walking distance with a subway station right around the corner. You can valet park or self park in a public garage which is what we did. The parking garage is just a couple minutes walk behind and below the hotel. Steve, a manager, is a great guy and very helpful. He made us feel welcome and comfortable upon our arrival. The concierges,Leticia and Carolina, were great and very knowledgeable of their city. They helped us schedule our day to fit in the most activities. Carolina purchased us tickets for the museum at discount and found discounts for the hockey hall of fame. They also recommended some great restaurants and made our reservations. Definitely make use of the concierge desk especially if it's your fist time to Toronto.
"Very nice place"
Ok, so I read these reviews in the hopes of honest info so that I can make decisions on where to stay...because of that, mine needs to be honest as well. Here goes: It's a nice place. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, always smiling...really felt welcome. The breakfast was fabulous...good selections, great juices, eggs, etc. Can't tell you about pricing because we didn't eat anywhere else...but Yorkville didn't appear to be a 'cheap' area... The rooms aren't huge, but big enough for us...the bathrooms were clean and towels were good. The bed was a wee bit stiff for us. Not sure if that's because it's old, new, or just a really firm top. I'm used to a pillow top. Just be aware of it when your booking, like I said, honest is good. The noise from the road was noticeable. Our room overlooked Bloor St. and cars/truck were going by all night...even at 2am. Didn't bother my wife at all...drove me nuts. There appeared to be several other rooms NOT on Bloor, so if I were to return, I might ask for another section. Overall, I would stay here again if for nothing else, it was clean, nice, friendly, and located close to anything we needed, including the subway. Hope this helps!
Beautiful lobby and beautiful, light-filled restaurant, and very friendly professional staff, but: - our room was tired-looking - room had a stale, cigarette-smoke smell - mattresses (we had a room with two queen beds) were very hard and uncomfortable - wifi is very slow - don't even think about streaming anything - breakfast service in restaurant was very slow.
Friendly staff, great amenities, very clean, and great location. All of this came at a great and very competitive price for Toronto hotels. I stayed here for a single night and really wanted to stay longer. Would visit again and HIGHLY recommend.
