"Excellent quality - fair price :)"
What to say - it's a great place to stay, may one of the most top-notch hotels that I ever been. 1. The service - fantastic. Kind personnel and very helpful. The people in charge knows more than English (usually Russian and/or German, except the polish off-course). 2. The rooms - even the standard room is big, with superb furniture and has a top quality desk in-there (if you are an academic this is super bonus :). The bath-room is big with all necessary comforts. 3. The food - exceptional, well prepared, served and fresh - I tried the breakfast, the restaurant (dinner), the brunch, the bar - (it's all the same - top quality). 4. Miscellaneous - wi-fi was good (but can be better), tv and techniks - as usual (no surprises), spa - very-good (must to try it - I think that is included in the price). 5. Some bonuses: - During breakfast there is musician (nice young woman) playing on harp (or lyre) some classics (including Chopin) but also modern (metallica, coldplay, etc.) - The view from standard rooms- I was on 31st floor and was fantastic. - Except the Down town restaurant there is more if you want to try something exquisite - The Platter by Karol Okrasa (Michelin guide restaurant). - You room can be cleaned at every time during the day or night (so have it in mind even in the late hours after 19 or 20:00 o'clock :)
"A disappointing Stay"
I stay at this IC a lot. It is one of my favorites for a number of reasons. A couple of recent things that have bothered me... 1). Large groups. They fill the lobby with baggage, keep the baggage staff busy - no one to take your luggage or valet the car, and then keep all the check in desks busy. When you finally can check in or get someone to help you, getting to your floor takes a while as the elevators are all busy. Other ICs allow RAs to check in at the Club Lounge, but the Warsaw lounge is card access to the floor. 2). Recent "Police" exercise. There was some sort of police dry run going on and I was refused entry into an elevator and then physically pushed out. The "manager" at the time appeared to be "too busy" to deal with my complaint. When I checked out the front desk manager came to talk to me and apologized. The police event was a one time thing so I would let that slide, the large groups has occurred a few times during my recent stays. Excellent rooms, beds, internet, food options... Let's hope things improve. I will rereview in due course.
"Wonderful hotel in every way"
I have absolutely no connection to the hotel, apart from the fact that I have always liked staying there every few years since they opened, and although I have tried a few other Warsaw hotels, and there are some that are special in their ways, I have stopped looking for others. The swimming pool high floor is spectacular, the rooms with wonderful showers/tubs so nice, the best views great. The breakfast buffet, yes individual egg/omlet chef, and harpist fine. (Not much of an Asian breakfast that I noticed (yes, a little dim sum and gyoza), but I don't know where else there would be better.) I confess, I try hard to avoid badly reviewed places, and hate writing bad reviews, but if I say I liked someplace, I did.
"Very comfortable hotel with very helpful staff"
Very helpful staff, Hotel had nice rooms, American quality. Great location, near the train station and the old town area. THe gym was excellent. It is so nice to have a real gym available. Overall I felt like the hotel was home. I guess I expected a tired old cinder block hotel. Neither the hotel or Warsaw in general were the soviet style cinderblock. Ashame we were warned not to drink the water anywhere.
The hotel is great, the room is clean and confortable. The staff is really efficient and friendly, check-in was done in seconds. Althought I could not try many dishes , but from the ones I tasted, I can declare that the chef is truly amazing.
