"Four days in Dubai"
Six of us stopped in Dubai for four days and stayed at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on The Palm Island. What a luxury hotel. Cannot really fault ANYTHING! From the spa to the restaurants, room service, shops. Staff very efficient, polite and professional. Definite five star, but not cheap!
"Family stopover...mmm maybe not"
We stayed for three nights here and firstly it is too far away from the hub of activities if you have a family . It would be best to stay in Jumeirah beach area. The talise spa is special but children are not allowed in unless over 16yrs. I did have the most amazing hamman with Fatimeh, she was excellent. The hotel is really expensive, our check in took ages to sort which was frustrating. Whilst the staff are trying to be Efficient,it seemed quite fake like not personable. We had these vouchers for lunch or dinner in 50 restaurants - be aware that all of the restaurants will charge you "extra" supplements so it really was a joke! And it certainly was not worth it...the drinks at the hotel was very pricey with a child's milkshake costing $17 and a beer was like $30. The pool area, they had a heap of lifeguards and it was a little Ott with one blowing his whistle every time a dad picked his kid up to throw him up!! We also went to use our voucher one night at the Lebanese restaurant which was the cheapest one and the lady at the front desk was rather rude in regards to our attire as a family. We decided not to go in as we could not be bothered going to change even though we were wearing "expensive " casual clothes. The next night we went in and she let these Arabic men in with jandals!! Ofcourse we were not impressed... overall I do not feel we will visit this hotel again, this was our second time . The first time was without children and in the Summer so a completely different experience 😎
Spent 7 nights at this beautiful hotel with my family; me and my husband and our 2 boys aged 8 and 3. The hotel was truly wonderful. Room was so spacious and clean, beds really comfortable and that staff couldn't do enough for you! We stayed half board and the choice of restaurants was amazing at all of the surrounding Jumeirah hotels. We would recommend the Lebanese in zabeel especially. The buffet was always reliable for easy family food with a variety of food choices available everyday. Breakfasts were particularly good in the imperium. Kids loved it. The staff at the hotel were so helpful, our air conditioning wasn't working one night and a member of staff was at our room within 5 minutes and fixed it. Turn down services was also lovely. Pool very clean and always plenty of sunbeds that time of year. Although it was very hot, sea like a bath, pool always the right temp to cool you down. Kids (and us!) loved the free ice lollies and kids area with little slide kept them entertained in between playing in the big pool. Free water / towels always nice round by the pool and easily available. We had a JBR room view on the grass level which was great as no worries about kids falling over the balcony. Perfect. Rooms quiet and well catered for, water in the rooms daily and replenished toiletries. Free shuttle bus was always great and we just got a taxi back to the hotel when we were ready at night times which wasn't expensive. Bar staff were so lovely in accommodating us needing a glass of milk for our three year old every night before bed... With no charge and Even warmed it for us! Concierge staff also helpful and all staff very pleasant in greeting us. A few negatives; Drinks very expensive (as usual in Dubai), and shop in the hotel was extortionately priced- £33 for a pair of goggles for my son as we left his at home! Hotel is our favourite Jumeirah hotel albeit slightly out of the way- didn't bother us as we prefer to be out of the hussle and bustle- although others may think it's not central enough. Balconies could do with more than 2 chairs for a family of four. Pool closed at sunset and my boys missed being able to cool down later at night- jumeriah beach hotel pool is open later. Perfect weeks holiday and kids loved it! So did we! Would definitely recommend. For families wild wadi water park is definitely worth a visit as you get free entry from the hotel and shuttle bus is provided from the hotel. Thanks to all the staff at Jumeirah zabeel for making our stay so enjoyable.
"Imperium Friday Brunch."
This is an excellent Brunch. Something for everyone here and excellent quality. The staff are efficient and friendly. I am surprised is wasn't busier as it really was very good. A big shout to Chef Sudeep who personally made scrambled eggs with black truffle as we had heard it was a standout dish! Apparently it is only available at the Saturday Brunch. It was a special dish, thank you,Chef. Please save room for the desserts as they are outstanding. Unfortunately the acoustics outside on the terrace did the band no favours and this was a shame.
"The perfect place to celebrate New Year in luxury"
Thank you yet again to the team at JZS. From arrival to departure my family and I were given 5 star treatment. Special thanks to the team in the club lounge ran by Hamza who was always smiling, not phased by anything and supported our many requests. Also to Danry who as always goes the extra mile and Joseph serving drinks to perfection. Thank you to the management team Firas and Nandana who both gave up time to meet and chat with us. This is really appreciated given your busy schedules. Finally to Manju who always seemed to work magic and find us a great table outside at Sultans lounge for after dinner drinks and amazing service. The prefect spot to relax and enjoy great international cuisine and drinks. The Zabeel is truly a place to relax ( the best spa in the world) and enjoy great food. It has an amazing selection of restaurants ( our favourites are Al Nofoorah ( Lebanese), The Rib room and Amala ( Indian) you really don't need to leave the hotel. We have already booked our next stay over the February half term and cant wait to return. What a wonderful experience to bring in the New Year with a perfect menu served in the rib room ( thank you Ryan and your team for creating that) , fireworks on the beach and an after party. From the Ps.
