"Another Wonderful Family Holiday"
We stayed at the Zabeel Saray for 11 nights, 2 adults and 4 children ranging from 7 months to 11 years. This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel in the last two years, we have stayed at another hotel in Dubai during this time but it didn't match up to the Zabeel. We initially had a couple of issues with the room and a bar area which we feedback to the management about. Both issues were promptly resolved, in fact we were moved to a different room. From that point onwards everything was fantastic. The facilities were superb, the swimming pool was ideal for adults and children alike, the kids club, children's pool and small play area were great. The Plaj was our favourite place to eat (the BBQ was delicious), we also ate in the Imperium, though it was nice I think that the choice of food had reduced from previous visits. We did a number of water sports and enjoyed them all, we also played tennis which was great (if a little hot). Three of our children watched films in the screening room and enjoyed the free popcorn. Though there are many excellent facets to this hotel what makes it really special are the staff, many of whom remembered us from our previous visits which was nice. A special thanks go to Tuwan Shasheer Raheem Yoosoof and Binu who's customer service was absolutely outstanding. We hope Tuwan has an absolutely wonderful wedding in July. Thank you to everyone at the Zabeel Saray for another wonderful holiday. We will be returning to this hotel in the not too distant future. The Powls family.
"5* Hotel with 3*Food"
We stayed here for 3 nights in March. Room was lovely, large & very clean with all the usual amenities. Bathroom was again spacious & spotlessly clean. Small balcony with just 2 chairs & a small table - not really a view unlike some hotels on the palm. Highlight was the spa - which was just wonderful, although it would have been nice to be shown around the facilities when you first go in as it is so large you really don't know where to go to start with. Plenty of deckchairs around the beach & pool & bottles of cold water a nice touch. Breakfast was complete chaos on all 3 mornings. Most people sit outside & there were just not enough staff to serve drinks & clear tables. Once you had a coffee there was no chance of getting the attention of anyone for a top up - not what I would expect from this sort of hotel. Plates not cleared once used. We stayed on a dinner inclusive package & we arrived quite late on the first evening so just opted for the main restaurant & their buffet. This was incredibly disappointing. Very little choice, the chef stations were not manned by any chefs & the food that we did choose was luke warm. On the way back to our room we decided to book our table for the following night in the Lebanese restaurant only to be told that it was full (it was empty when we walked past the following eve) So we went to the Indian restaurant, we asked for a dish to be spiced up a bit & it was served as normal with a dish of red chilli powder on the side'' Food was not as we expected & service was really slow. The third night we ate out by the Dubai marina & had a wonderful meal. However to get there we had to queue for about 20 minutes to get a taxi from outside of the hotel, as they can only flag one down as it is passing. On the whole we were disappointed with our stay & would not go again
We had a excellent stay in zabeel saray, very family and kids friendly place and Beautiful pool and Facilities. the Varity of restaurants and food was a good bonus while your stay, would definitely be back. Worth trying.
"Zabeel Saray "
We were having a great time at JZS great staff and great food especially the Rib Room. Thoroughly enjoyed my short stay unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to my son not being well. We intend to return soon.
"Very good by not quite the Madinat"
I agree with a lot of comments made by previous reviewers. It is a fantastic hotel in terms of service and facilities. Location is a little bit far out if you are intending on exploring Dubai, being at the end of the Palm Crescent. Alcohol is now extortionate with the weak pound - £12 a beer sticks in everyone's throat, although there is a happy hour at the pool lounge Plaj and a different price for drinks over the weekend presumably to try to attract the local ex-pat drinkers. Dubai has again become the worlds biggest building site and so the view from the pool area beach is dominated by cranes. The half board voucher system can be limited in terms of the places you can eat without paying a supplement and even some of the choices in the pool restaurant attract a supplement, although you could do worse than visit the buffet at Imperium which was genuinely excellent. The spa is an 8000 sqm master piece and a visit to the snow room after a sauna is a worthwhile experience.......40 degrees heat outside and in here it is actually snowing! Oh yes and the bath....... a marble extravaganza that can comfortably take the whole family! The only real problem with his hotel is that it is not the Dar al Masyaf (DAM) at the Madinat, a sister hotel of the Zabeel Saray! The DAM is just exceptional and will overshadow almost all hotels that one stays at thereafter, but for those that haven't yet stayed at the DAM, the Zabeel Saray is definitely worth a visit.
