Hotel ben organizzato, reception impeccabile (molto disponibili! check out alle ore 12). Ben ristrutturato, colazione veramente ben fornita da soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.Comment of B. Luigi , Italy the 2016-12-30
Excellent Hotel, staff extremely courteous and genuinely helpful. Great value and great location for visiting Prague. Tram and metro right outside the door. Hotel restaurant is also great and breakfast very good. Would highly recommend for Business and leisure.
Cannot fault the friendly helpful staff, they all speak excellent English and go out if their way to advise and help you. The rooms were well maintained and our family room had plenty of space. We were on a low floor at the front of the hotel but certainly weren't disturbed by any noise. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, sometimes finding a seat/table proved difficult but there were a couple of largish groups staying so they did take up a large portion of the room. It may be better if the staff seated you as this would stop couples sitting at larger tables set for four or more. Hotel is in a good place for getting around especially on the underground or on foot. A note of advice, nothing to do with the hotel , but within the first hour of arrival we were intimidated by a group of men hanging around the supermarket opposite the hotel , and also on the first night my husband accidentally left his jacket on the bar stool in the hotel , he went back to get it and someone had already stolen it. There are lots of beggars/ homeless people in the centre and although the police do try and move them on they are quite frightening when they approach you so keep your wits about you.
"Wow better than some four star hotels"
Everything about this hotel has the wow factor, cleanliness, friendliness the rooms are spotless and large. The bar area is very good and drinks are reasonable prices. In the morning the breakfast is like being let loose in a candy store so much choice of fresh fruits sat in baskets, then yogurts, fruit salads cheeses, cold meats. Then the next food station is the bakery and finally cooked breakfast items freshly made and other hot meals to suit all nationalities. Freshly made cold drinks were available every afternoon by the lift/reception area.
"The Jury's out"
I am still not sure about this hotel as I have read lots of the reviews about it and find its a very mixed bag of observations. Firstly the hotel is situated in the perfect area for anyone wanting to get to anywhere fast from the tramway and metro just across the road and also a very cheap Billa supermarket if you need cheap drinks and snacks for making up sandwiches before sightseeing. On first impressions the room was quite nice although a little tired, there is a mini bar and the least said about that the better. Tea and coffee with kettle is a nice touch, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom well laid out. Plenty of hot water and the free Wi-Fi worked excellently. My major concern, and it has in other hotels too, is the lack of air con, it has the heat settings with a three stage fan that worked just fine it was just trying to cool down, at reception they did not understand when I asked them to turn on the air con they just said turn off the heat and have the fan, in the ceiling, on full but that was as weak as an upright three speed fan, useless. I wanted the chill from air con but was not successful probably because it costs a bit more and we can't have that can we' A customers comfort should be paramount. Ended up opening the window but that was a big mistake the noise was terrific, from the trams, taxis and traffic and later on from drunks so we had to close the window. We stayed here for two evenings with our group of 38 travelling with Shearing's, then it was onward to Vienna. Our meal that evening was a three course set meal, which I am not a great lover of, in other words someone else deciding on what I should be eating and in what quantity. As it is I am happy with just a main meal so when the starter was brought out I was not attracted by it, although it is fair to say that the overall quality was superb. Oh the starter was duck liver pate with a couple of slices of bread. Five stars for the food. Next morning breakfast was buffet style and was in an abundance, again very good quality and a good choice of hot and cold and five stars from me again. Our next mission was to go to reception and explain our problem with either the noise, with the window open, or being able to cool the room down, so we asked to change our room for one in the back of the building and the latter was what was decided. We cheekily asked how much would it be for an upgrade and was very sternly told that they are fully booked for the next four days, we said sorry we only asked. Any way the new room was identical except for when we opened the window it was peaceful, quiet and cooler.
"Great location in Prague!"
This hotel is great if you want to explore the city! In a great central location right opposite two tube lines and only about a mile walk from the main old square. The facilities are great for the price and the staff are incredibly friendly.
