"Stunning and elegant"
This was the most beautiful B&B - everything was just perfect. Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean with great attention to detail. So lovely to feel we were staying in an Antwerp house and so convenient for the trams and buses. It's a lovely area. Christian and Philip and Frederik were SO helpful with booking taxi's and giving us great restaurant recommendations. Nothing was any trouble and we felt so welcome. Breakfast at JVR108 is incredible too - everything beautifully freshly prepared and we loved the faces on the boiled eggs! Our rooms were immaculate and so spacious with the most comfortable beds ever and beautiful linen. And it was lovely to have a deep bath in the ensuite as well as a shower. I can't say enough in the praise of this amazing guest house and I hope we will return one day. We were a family group and took up all three rooms, and I can say that they are all beautiful. And we loved our first visit to Antwerp too - we stayed 3 nights but must return to visit all the many other things we'd now like to see.
"Best stay in Antwerp"
Wow! We hit the jackpot with this gorgeous property. Owned by antique dealers, this luxurious property had massive rooms for Europe. Marble bath rain shower & comfy king bed were a perfect compliment to the feeling of being in a palace and not your run of the mill EU hotel. The owners of this property are a class act. We arrived at 7am and apparently the Privada booking never came through. They were awesome about it. Let us in...made us coffee and even took a night off our booking. I come to Belgium for a week every year for conferences and I will no longer stay in the conference hotel. This is by far the best property I have stayed at in the city. Quaint, beautiful, near all types of transport to get into city center. It has it all without the price tag of a big hotel and the personal feeling of a antique mansion. I can't wait for our return trip next year. The only downside will be staying in a different hotel for the next few days while in Ghent.
"Best Place in Antwerp"
If there was a way to give more than 5 stars, this place would be deserving. From the time you walk in, you are made to feel welcomed. The property is excellently appointed. At many properties that are located in older buildings, there are things you notice that give away the age. That is not the case here. Very close attention is given to detail and there is nothing left to chance or overlooked. We were able to stay in the junior suite, overlooking the garden. The layout and design of the suite was impeccable. Christian welcomed us to 108 JVR and made sure we had everything we needed. We also had the privilege of meeting Philip and Fred, the owners, and I truly hope I have the names and spelling correct. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and handled by Christian. I don’t remember the last time I had a breakfast that included fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries with real cream filling and coffee but now I can say I have. As I have mentioned, there is attention to every last detail at 108 JVR. The final touch, arrangements were made to have the cab waiting for us to take us to the train station as soon as we finished breakfast. 108 JVR Guesthouse is the best place to stay in Antwerp.

"Live like a celebrity for a weekend"
Stayed in a junior room for two nights in June. It was a 5 star experience, comparable with stays I've had at some of the world's better hotels, all the better because it was it at someone's home. The home is located in an upscale residential area, 12 minutes by tram to downtown. It is impeccably decorated, with every detail having been considered and seemingly no expense spared. The proprietors have great taste. The owners run a decorating business out of the first floor office and the hotel side of the business was run by a separate manager who went out his way to make things comfortable for guests. Breakfast was amazing. Great experience!
