"Great hotel but skip the food and drinks"
Rooms were absolutely excellent. The housekeepers and staff were amazing and very attentive. 5 star all the way around! However, I would suggest skipping the breakfast if you're not a Marriott gold or platinum member. For €35 per person, I expected fresh eggs or at least eggs cooked to order. Instead, it's just liquid scrambled eggs made in a batch. The food is the exact same every morning so don't expect any variety. For after hours, the bar is overpriced, even for Cannes. A tall glass if draft beer will cost €14.
"Great hotel, great location"
Located right on the boulevard in Cannes, this hotel is wonderful. Nice, spacious rooms with eveything you need while traveling: two beds, TV, safe, enough closet space, small balcony, two chairs, desk, nice bathroom with hand shower, rain shower and bathtub. Small negatives: wifi is not free and rather expensive (€20 for 3 days at 5MB per day), breakfast not included and also expensive (€35 per day). Staff is very friendly and helpull. Housekeeping keeps the room very clean. I would stay here again while in Cannes.
"Comfortable room, expected more though"
Was excited to come to a seafront hotel in Cannes for a business event. Room was comfortable and clean but a little shabby and relying mainly on the film posters on the walls to make it something different from any other rather tired large hotel. The staff were polite but distant. Didn't feel special in any way. Sorry guys -I expected more.
"As beautiful as Cannes itself"
Excellent hotel, luxurious, and nothing much to complain. I had a room with a balcony facing the mediterrean, felt the balcony is too small and very close to adjacent buildings to sit out and enjoy the view ! For a business traveller and for that cost, a water bottle in the room is a must, was surprised to see that is missing while AC ambassadeur by marriott gives you 2 bottles of water for much much cheaper price. And a shoe shiner in the room please !!! Breakfast is mostly varities of bread and cereals and dry fruits, good though. Terrace view of the sea is awesome !!
This Marriott is one of the jewels in the crown of the Marriott chain. First,of course, location, location. Stunning! Then the very spacious, quiet, luxurious rooms that make you feel like you are in a private home. And the added perk of the best, generous breakfast in a setting only the finest restaurants could offer. The staff is welcoming and helpful, from the valet first meet to the front desk, everyone is ready to help with suggestions to make it even better. We would return every visit to Europe if possible!
