"everything was great"
Beautiful lobby, nice spacious room and a great huge, clean bathroom. This is a great location, south of the river. We are always north of the river and spend our time on the Magnificent Mile, shopping, restaurants etc. But this side is really nice too! And right next to all the theaters.
"First visit JW Marriott Chicago"
First visit to JW Marriott in Chicago. Enjoyed it very much. Staff very friendly. Location worked out just fine. Rooms very nice and clean. Concierge Lounge was worth the extra price. Would stay here again.
Good rooms-good service-what you would expect from J.W. The food was not the best and it is a bit pricey coming from North Carolina. The room is great and they spent a lot of money on each room. The Lobby is also very good with enough sitting room and you feel the business crowd or road warriors like it. Cost more-but worth it.
"A Fitting Tribute to the J.W. Marriott Brand"
We were here for a conference. The location in the financial district is excellent. We arrived by train on Amtrak and the hotel is only a few blocks from Union Station. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Check in was near perfect, basically a "touch and go." We used the Marriott app to check in ahead of time and everything was ready when we arrived including our feather free room. Staff was friendly and competent. No complaints, except that our Marriott points were not posted for more than 10 days and only after I sent in a missing points request online. This seems to be a recurring problem with Marriott. We would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay there again.
"A Welcomed Surprise"
Currently here for the night while in Chicago for work. Convenient location, walkable to the metro and many city sights. Front desk and bell desk staff are pleasant, and I don't feel like an imposition when approaching them to ask for assistance. Staff in the Executive Lounge are also very helpful. Guest room is clean and cozy; classic yet updated, but not stuffy. Especially love the soaker tub! Two things would make the room perfect: no connecting door, and, a door to close off the bedroom/sleeping area from the front door. The room is quiet . . . until people start chatting away in the hall, then you realize how thin, though heavy, the front door is. Otherwise, I feel quite at home. I have been staying at Marriott properties while traveling for work, and this happens to be the first time for me at a JW property. Thankfully the office is conveniently just a block away, and I look forward to many future stays at this hotel.
