Expectations set high at JW and always surpassed. And this location is no exception to that! Great room in a great location with outstanding staff. A++++ experience. Great views. Great pool and gym/spa amenities and delicious food.
"Disappointing Conciege floor stay"
This is my 1st ever hotel review: We were in town for the boat show and, as we usually do, made a resv. on the consistent floor. Front desk staff was delightful. We were tired and heading to our room around 5:30pm. The desk clerk reminded us that they were serving appetizers in the lounge. We asked the bellman to bring our bags quickly so we could enjoy the perks. After a 1/2hr and 2 calls inquiring where our bags were, my husband went down and carried them up himself. By the time we reached the consiege lounge all the hors d'oeuvres were gone. Again, the staff was very nice, but unable to get anything more for us to eat for 45mn. At which time we went to our rm and ordered room service. Very disappointed after paying for the perls of the consiege floor. The next morning we went again to the lounge and had a wonderful bkft. When returning to our rom, our key didn't work. After calling down twice from the hall phone, I was told to come to the front desk w/photo I.d.to obtain a new key. Of course my Wallet was in the rm w/my luggage. We will never book a room at this Marriott again.
"Pleasant staff, nice location."
Visited many restaurants, within walking distance. Walked to the water shuttle and then The water taxi took us to the boat show. This was a safe area. We have no problems with the hotel or the neighborhood.
"Perfectly fine business hotel"
I stayed here for a business trip as it's within walking distance of our Miami office. The property is just fine, nothing outstanding or special. Breakfast was expensive but good. I wouldn't balk at staying here again, but this wouldn't be my choice for a vacation.
"Miami Boat Show"
I had a major problem prior to my stay with the reservation. I booked a room for the Miami Boat Show which was Feb. 16 - 19. I was going to stay Feb. 15 - 17. They made a mistake on the dates and booked me Feb. 25 - 27. I was very clear with the dates and asked a bunch of questions about the Boat Show and they gave me a discount for the Show. I caught the problem the night before the trip and immediately contacted customer service and Marriott Customer Care. They where unable to correct THEIR error so I was unable to attend the event. I will never deal with Marriott Hotels in the future!! Their reservations and Customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced.
