K West, located in the city centre, is minutes by subway to the theatres of West End; hip Notting Hill is walking distance as is High Street Kensington. London Heathrow Airport is approximately 13 km away, or 25 minutes driving time.
"Basic hotel and spa "
Went for a spa weekend with a friend. Location isnt great however the Rooms are nice & clean, decent variety of breakfast options. Spa is very basic though. Good for a tight budget. Not much contact with staff.
"Fantastic Night away"
The hotel was lovely. It was my belated birthday present and the hotel put balloons and a birthday cake in my room for the occasion. The room was immaculate and well presented. There was minimal noise outside. It is very close to the Shepherds Bush Underground, only a 15 minute walk away. The staff are very helpful and when we needed to change the date of the booking, they were more than accommodating.
"Excellent facilities, fantastic staff."
I frequently stay at the K-West hotel and Spa and with good reason. The rooms are huge, well designed and modern, the Gym and SPA are as good as you will find at any 4* hotel and the food is excellent. I would also say that without question the staff are among the most attentive that I deal with on any of my travels, they cannot do enough for you and always try to remember the 'quirky' things that you like s on the next visit, they always try and make it a home away fro home. Two individuals who always go the extra mile are Chriscelle (she just helps with everything and anything) and is so professional and Martina (restaurant and beverages), who ensures that she has her staff always aiming to please and focuses on having a great selection of food and drinks in an immaculately clean environment and Brooke who manages the reception/front of house, there is rarely any issues with checking in and or out and you are always able to request any support from the front of house team. These three really are the icing on the cake for this great hotel.
"Spa day and afternoon tea"
Went for a mother and daughter spa day and afternoon tea and highly recommend. The spa itself- although small was absolutely lovely. The spa reception staff were absolutely amazing and told you the best process for using the different rooms/stages. The spa was clean and crazy quiet there was us and 2 other couples in there (must be a quiet day) but made it all the better. I loved the snow cave. I booked in for a back and shoulder massage and my mum booked in for a back and neck massage, we both found our therapist fantastic with just the right amount of pressure. The relax room after the treatments were amazing, I read my kindle for 20 mins and then turned the bedside light off for a nap. Feeling thoroughly refreshed we went for our afternoon tea with prosecco. The signature tea- the Tea Rex tea was absolutely minging but the peppermint tea was lovely and refreshing. The actual food itself was a nice selection, the only thing I wasn't overly keen on was the panna cotta it was like a milk jelly neither of us were that keen! all in all- a lovely day and I would definitely go again. Have already recommended to 2 sets of friends.
"Great Massage, Disappointing finer details"
My husband booked the My Time Spa Break as an 1yrs anniversary present this weekend. As you couldn't book the time slot for the spa treatment online when you booked the package an email gets sent to you so you contact the spa to book your appointment. Unfortunately, we forgot to ring them so they booked our slot automatically. When I rang to try to change the slot, as it was 11am in the morning, there were no other times available. In retrospect this wasn't too bad however because it meant we got to use the Spa for a lot longer. We arrived 15mins before our treatment but we couldn't check into our hotel room until 2pm so we took our cases to the Spa with us. This wasn't a problem as the lockers were plenty big enough to fit them into. We had an amazing massage & exfoliation treatment for 50mins and felt incredibly relaxed. We then went to enjoy the rest of the spa facilities. The snow room is definitely an experience!! It was all very relaxing & not busy at that time so we didn't feel like we were crammed in. We then went across to Westfield Shopping centre to grab some lunch before heading back to the hotel to check into our room. We checked in around 3pm & found a plate of chocolate & strawberries/raspberries as a welcome gift. Unfortunately because the room was quiet warm the chocolate was slightly melted & the fruit was warm so we didn't actually eat it. After having a snoop round the room, where we found the last guests had drawn a pic of a penis & put it the drawer of the desk and only 1 bathrobe but 2 pairs of slippers, we took another wander down to the spa. Where we were greeted to a very busy scene! Did not feel like we could relax properly as every area was busy! We stayed for about 45mins then went back to our room. Back in the room we chilled for the rest of the evening & ordered room service for dinner whilst watching a movie. We were disappointed by the size of the bath as you couldn't fit 2 people in it comfortably really. There were a lot of finer details also which were disappointing such as wall sockets not being fully tight to the wall, the toilet was actually loose from the back & the wall (room 316). It seemed that at some point there had been water damage to the corridor to our room as you could see the stain on the carpet & could also smell damp. The fridge in the cupboard seemed to overheat & not keep anything very cold in there unless we kept the cupboard doors open! Later in the evening my husband went to fill our ice bucket up. Unfortunately he couldn't find the ice machine on our floor so decided to go to the bar as that seemed to be closer than any ice machine. At the bar he was informed that there are ice machines on every floor but when he asked the barman, he couldn't tell him where! At breakfast the next morning we were waiting over half an hour for them to bring our cooked breakfast out & in all honesty we wish we'd ordered it to our room the night before. We didn't tho as we thought it would motivate us to get sorted but in the end it made us rush a little for our train journey home! Overall, the experience was lovely but I wouldn't return in a hurry.
