"Best stay I've ever had"
The room is amazing and the staff, especially the guy at the front desk, make this an incredible place to stay if you're lucky enough to be able to book a room I'm sure they fill up fast. The champagne on entry is an incredible touch too!
"Awful beyond beleif"
This was, hands down, the worst hotel experience of our lives. We checked in and left our luggage at 10:00am, and returned at 7:00pm. After waiting for an hour, I went and got my own luggage. The room did not have soap, and the phone and coffee maker were broken. After complaining about the noise/party in the room next door to the staff at the front desk (in person, because the phone did not work...) three imes between 8pm and 3am, I finally went to the neighbors room myself at 3:30am to deal with them. After one night, we checked out four days early. Shame on the owners of this hotel and the two genmen working the front desk on 2/16/2017 they should be ashamed of themselves.
"The Keating Hotel was amazing"
My husband and I stayed at the Keating for a quick weekend get away. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and modern, the staff is friendly and amazing. Every aspect of our stay was great. And the location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance to everything! We will definitely be back!
"Awesome Hotel and Staff"
The Keating is a one of a kind Hotel. Can' beat the location. This hotel is within walking distance of all the Gaslamp bars and restaurants. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The ultra modern room reminded us of our stay in Italy. It was very comfortable and clean. Ask for the suite with the outdoor spa tub and steam shower, its the best!
"A Bit of History in San Diego's Gaslamp"
The Keating, at the corner of 5th and F Streets in the Gaslamp district of San Diego is architectural throw-back to the 1890's that has been updated with all the amenities expected from a pleasant hotel these days plus room decor that is modern-bohemian. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and bars, so the lack of an in-house restaurant goes unnoticed. I had a city view, which was charming at night, and the hotel was one blocks from the Balboa Theater, where I was attending a concert. the staff were friendly, helpful, outgoing. The valet parking cost $45/night--a bit hefty when you add on the tip. The vanity was in the room itself--a bit odd, but it was sleek and fit the decor. The toilet was in a separate small room and the shower, too occupied a separate enclosure. (There was no tub.) The bed was very comfortable as were the linens and the pillows. Except for the Gaslamp madness (very noisy until nearly 4 am on a weekend), I enjoyed a restful night. Great location, acceptable price, helpful staff.
