Very good hotel, well located and very quiet. The room is very nice, clean with all amenities. The breakfast is expensive but georgous and excellent. If you spend time during the beakfast you can skip the lunch as you have so many choices.
"A great luxury tourist hotel."
I took a long time to decide between the great hotels of Budapest. My decision to choose the Kempinski, was well rewarded. The location is the best in the city. Not next to the river, but in the throbbing heart of the city. This large hotel is able to focus o the wishes of its guests, and if any request is made, then action is taken and to the complete satisfaction of this guest and his discerning wife. The room and bathroom were excellent, room turn down was well managed. If I have a quibble, it would be that the vast breakfast buffet, would be better handled by having more staff on duty. at peak times it is very very busy. Oops almost forgot to mention the 5 star concierges!
"Wonderful, highly recommended"
Fabulous! Comfortable bed, sitting area with love seat, desk, area to store suitcases, very quiet (some street noise but subdued), enough dresser draws and storage space for clothes and incidentals, good size bathroom with bathrobes and slippers. A+ breakfast buffet with great fresh pastries. Very good location, convenient to may tourist sites. Helpful pleasant staff. All in all highly recommended!
"Solid choice: professional, tasteful but not Four Seasons"
Well located (as are many top hotels- the city is small). Good value: nice sized room, good amenities, three nice eat/drink options. I liked the quick coffee stand (best coffee in Hotel) and the "gastropub" casual eatery. Didn't try Nobu. Excellent concierge - helpful, remembered me, very responsive. Excellent front desk personnel. Housekeeping is a tad quirky (everyday they moved my amenities out of shower and returned to sink counter; no wash clothes for a few days; came to make-up room when I was at the gym at 730am). Room style is not at Four Seasons level, but the price reflects this. Our business gathering was well supported by the conference facilities. Staff extended themselves thoughtfully.
"Pleasant stay in Kempinski Corvinus - 5 star experience in great central location"
We arrived around 2 pm on Easter Sunday, we asked for a high floor room with a view over the square with the wheel. The room was not ready. We were offered a couple of alternative rooms at lower floors and lesser views, but decided to wait and had lunch in the Nobu branch, located under the hotel roof. The food was excellent, the room was given straight after lunch and was spotlessly clean and relatively good size (second category room after basic, called Deluxe). As others already said, the biggest miss for us was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as the tea delivered by room service was cold. Bathroom very good size with both shower cubicle (shower head in the wall – USA style) and bath. Bathrobes and slippers provided. Extra towels, tissues and toiletries delivered very promptly upon request. Two bottles of local mineral water delivered to the room with evening turndown service. Pool & spa good, very clean, not huge size but sufficient, if not busy. We went there on the day of departure as it was pouring rain and it was only us and two others. Overall, a very pleasant stay and good value for money. Thank you, the team at Kempinski.
