King’s Hotel First Class is 3-minute walk from Munich Central Station and located in an area with many restaurants, bars, and public transportation options. Guests can also find direct trains to Theresienwiese, Marienplatz Square, and Munich Airport.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are made to look like an 18th century style. A little different than a modern hotel, but kind of interesting. The best part of the hotel was the location. It was a 2 min walk from the train station (even though my phone told us 8 min because it was using roads and didn't realize there was a short cut). It was also walking distance to the main area, Marienplatz, which has shopping and beautiful old buildings. It's also walking distance to Hofbrauhaus restaurant, which you need to eat at when you're in Munich! We were abit disappointed they didn't include breakfast in the rate, but we enjoyed our stay and ate breakfast at the train station.
This is a lovely hotel located very close to the train station. It is very convenient to get to. The room is lovely and is very comfortable. You feel right at home from the moment you walk into the hotel. There are lovely toiletries such as hand cream in the bathroom. The hotel even provided some sweets on the bed. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Munich.
Hotel was fantastic! The room had been done up in 18th century style....some might say it was tacky, but my husband & I loved the theme & chose this place originally for the rooms! It turned out to be closer to the central station than I thought, so was super handy to grab the train to the airport the next day! Also its a short walk away from the Hofbrau! Would definitely recommend there for dinner! I accidently left my laptop case & passport in the room and checked out. When I realised, I ran back & explained that, they didn't hesitate to give me the key back even though we had checked out, and I was able to go to the room and get my stuff! The staff were very accommodating!
"Slightly above Average hotel, yet a good value."
I had an early morning flight out of Munich airport, thus turned on my Expedia App and found this hotel literally 2 mins away from the train station. Even though it is supposed to be a four-star hotel, the service is rather limited. Dinner menu is very short and the bar is functional yet small, while there is no proper lobby area where you can relax. Rooms are okay although its shower booth is not quite spacious for some large American tourist. (I am 5, 9, 165lbs, it was a good size for me.) What I found a bit disconcerting was its location, just like many train stations in Europe, you may encounter some sketchy establishments close to the hotel (e.g. gentlemen's club) and those folks who visit there at night. If you are traveling with your family, I recommend hotels near Marienplatz might be better even though they cost a bit more.
We stayed here on the last night of a 3 week trip. We were due to stay in another hotel but were moved here and we found this hotel really lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful They all spoke english very well. The room we stayed in was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet. The room had a lovely big bed with 2 duvets which I really liked and a very large TV- 50 inch screen as well as a coffee machine and complementary water. The room was spotless as was the whole hotel. The shower was very good with plenty of hot water and good quality toiletries. There was a bar in the hotel and it was reasonably priced. There was good free and fast wifi in all the areas of the hotel The hotel was very convenient for the airport bus as well as the train station. Given a choice of our usual hotel or this hotel, I would stay here if we come back to Munich. It was very central for the shops, tourist bus, cafes and attractions.
