"Not worth the price and terrible service"
First, when we asked the conceige to book the spa restaurant, nothing is actually booked. If happens 3 days In a row. The people at the reception seems impatient and only cares about tips. When I ask her a question, she question me back saying how would I know. There's a travel agency in the basement called BD travel, we booked a ticket to a park. However, even though we canceled the trip, they refused to give us a refund. A conceige person said the travel agency cannot do it, in the worst case, the hotel will still pay for our trip. After the discussion in Spanish with the agent, she quickly flipped, and blamed us on not making the proper schedule. The next day, the conceige girl didn't show up or call us for the dispute result as she promised. She constantly lied. The service always over promised and under delivered. We are always disappointed by this. In terms of the activites, no water activities is included in the package. The whole impression on the beautiful sea was ruined by those disappointing experience. I would never came back to Cancun again.
" Beach amazing, beds in room suck!!!"
Our room was not ready at check in so we had to carry a lot of stuff with us to town for dinner and out to beach. When we did get room it had a beautiful view but was not the room we reserved. I had injured my back and so reserved 2 double beds and they gave us a room with 1 bed. They did give us a new room with 2 beds, although in both of the rooms, the beds were lumpy, terribly u comfortable. My husband actually left witb backache after sleeping on the bed. The bed at beach we rented for me during day was so much better tban ones in the rooms! Also we had paid for room when reserved it and confirmation says 0.00 due at hotel. They insisted that we pay again when we checked in. Now waiting for everything to process at bank to know for sure if we were refunded one of the payments or if we need to dispute with expedia and the hotel. No bath mats , and its a tub so its slippery, be careful! Was very loud until midnight, 2 parties going on right outside the room and we had flight in morning. We did love the beach but that was all. We will not return to this hotel chain..ever. We will go to Fiesta Americana next visit.
"Best Cancun beach hotel"
We have been here several times before when it was owned by Hyatt. However with the change in ownership there are some minor differences but still a great beach. The room prices were good but we didn't do the all inclusive. We did book an altitude room and Fernando was a wonderful in booking meals and helping with the room. We stayed 4 days over the Easter weekend. Just some simple FYI for you- 1. They are building another tower now ( should be done this summer) but it has one of the large pools closed until that is complete. IT was noisy and I missed the big pool. 2. Never book here on Easter weekend (like we did) its a massive holiday for the locals (not bad) Just be aware that that weekend will be very full. Beach staff on our first day was so busy the service was terrible. 3. There are new restaurants and they still have The Grill and we found them all to have great service, reasonable prices and excellent food. AYAMI RESTAURANTwas Asian fusion that was very good with lots of options. We also had dinner at ITALIAN RISOTTO which was epic. 4. The beach and the hotels location on it is still the best reason to go- they have a very deep stretch of beach and lots of Bali beds and chairs for hotel guests. 5. After the first day of bad service on the chairs we hoped for a better day and Hervik and his staff made an effort to make up for the previous busy day. I can say the recovery was perfect. He found us and apologized for the lack of service, ( he explained that a lot of people took the day off and they simply miscalculated how busy they would be) We rented a Bali Bed, $50 for the day and a $45 food credit and the beds were the way to go. I spent the next two days with icy drinks and lunch on the bed. It was awesome. So all and all its a great place for the money and they genuinely want you to be happy. We found the whole staff was pleasant but a special thanks to Hervik for making the effort to turn things around for us so well.
"Beautiful property but kinks need to be worked out !"
Check- in process was slow, but not for a lack of effort by the helpful staff. A new tower is being built on the property, so lots of construction. We were told the hotel was at full capacity but it did not appear to be full at all. We lucked up and were given a room with a partial view of the beach, but it came with a small upgrade cost. The room was a bit dated and the bathroom was small. The room was adequate, but not 4 star. The staff was very accomadating in every area of the hotel from the front desk to the pool area. The beach and the adult pool was a highlight for me. I would definitely return to the property for location alone.
"Wedding and wedding anniversary "
I've stayed at the krystal grand Punta cancun twice now, once last year where I had my wedding and this year for my wedding anniversary. Both times were great, the hotel is located in the perfect location and the hotel is beautiful. Only thing I was concerned about was the front desk staff and other staff. The front desk is very rude, I work in the hotel industry so I know how important a friendly front desk is. Other than that I had a great time whenever I stay there.
