Great location just across Hyde Park and 3 minutes away from Oxford Street.Comment of D. IAN , Singapore the 2017-01-14
"A work in progress."
You've done a good job of keeping things going in the midst of renovations. I'm sure that you'll have things at a "5" when you've finished. Our room was beautiful. There was a problem with heat one day which was quickly rectified. Your restaurants are outstanding, and the hotel staff is courteous and helpful.
"Exemplary service and an epic view"
This splendid hotel, overlooking Hyde Park, has the most wonderful staff. Every single member of staff is naturally cordial and helpful. It is clear there is a real sense of dedication and teamwork amongst all staff and this comes through in their work. Everything is spotlessly clean and impeccably presented. The food is first class and the hotel is a joy to stay in. As an added bonus, directly opposite the hotel is the Italian Gardens in Hyde Park, a heritage gem of London.
We went for the afternoon tea for Mother's Day and had a wonderful experience. Monir our host was so welcoming and explained every aspect of the afternoon tea perfectly. We don't eat meat and usually this can cause problems but today he made sure that we had other sandwiches that we could eat which was wonderful! Pastries where also fantastic, especially with the great presentation of the food. My only complaint was that the scones where not as fresh as we thought they could be but they still where delightful with such a unique presentation. Overall it was an amazing experience
"Compact Class in Central London"
Currently undergoing a multi million pound refurb is can be a bit noisy from 08:30 - 17:30 but it will be worth it when done. Stayed in a brand new room, whilst compact (as most city rooms are) beautifully appointed with a great view over the city. If you don't know the area then this is ideally positioned overlooking Hyde Park, 10 minute walk from Paddington Station (with parking), or Hyde Park Corner, the Royal Albert Hall or Oxford Street. Surprising though that a 4* city hotel doesn't have valet parking' Currently Lancaster Gate underground station is closed but when it reopens it is directly underneath the hotel so super convenient!
"OUR STAY AT THE LANCASTER"
As usual our stay at The Lancaster for my Celsea Ladies Festival was most enjoyable. The service, room quality, food and friendliness and politeness of the staff was top drawer. My 10 guests were all of the same opinion . The improvements to the hotel are really going well and causing very little disruption. We look forward to seeing the completion of all the works on our next visit. Full marks.
