Made a last minute booking as our train was cancelled. Although the hotel is undergoing maintenance, the room was superb, as were the staff on reception. Would definitely stay again. The hotel is close to Paddington station and there's plenty of restaurants near by.
"Excellent refit; construction still in progress"
The newly refitted rooms are luxurious and well designed to take advantage of the small space. Custom built-in desk and settee were efficient and designed to fit perfectly into the room. Excellent linen and first rate touches including powered shades, sound proof windows, ample power and USB charging ports, and excellent lighting. The bathroom has the heated towel racks that are common in London hotels, and also heated floors, which are a wonderful surprise to bare feet. Luxurious marble bathroom and shower with first rate fittings top off a luxurious but smallish room. The staff is welcoming, friendly and efficient. Overall, this will be an excellent hotel when the renovations are complete. There was some jackhammering during the day and there's a temporary entrance, but the hotel's proximity to Kensington Garden and Hyde Park are a definite plus. Overall, a great place to stay with a luxurious room and warm staff.
I booked this hotel for my grandparent's for my grandma's 70th birthday. They had a fabulous time and cannot speak highly enough of both the service and the room! The staff also arranged for a cake and bottle of wine to be in the room on arrival for her birthday! I have also stayed in this hotel before, back in 2014, and can agree that the views over the park from the higher floors are gorgeous. Thank you very much for and looking after my grandparents!
"Superb afternoon tea"
Booked an afternoon tea at this hotel, and were certainly not disappointed by the lavish surroundings or quality of the service/food. I was quite impressed by the variety of tea's on offer (and they were all loose leaf). The scones were also very nice. I would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a nice afternoon out.
"Location is great even if the tube station is being renovated "
I have stayed in the Lancaster London many times both with family (5 year old granddaughter) and friends. The service in this hotel is exceptional. As for location, it's next to lovely Hyde Park and if the tube is not operational there are at least 5 buses that have stops right by the hotel. These bus routes go to most of the areas of interest for both tourists and business persons (St. Pancras, Zoo, Aquarium, Oxford and Regency streets, palaces, cathedrals and museums) . It's very easy to find the bus information online and to use the Oyster Card! Happy Travels!

The hotel car park is now closed until August/September 2017. Also the valet parking service, using offsite car parking, will be ceased on 2 January 2017.
