The hotel looked very cozy when decorated during the holidays. The hotel staffs were very accommodating and quick to respond to any inquiries. The rooms were clean, spacious and the coffee, tea and hot chocolate stacks were highly appreciated after a long walk in the winter weather. The location is very convenient, it is near several tube stations. Hyde Park is within a walking distance. If you enjoy walking just like us, there are a lot of things to visit and enjoy around the area. We even managed to get to Oxford Street just by mere walking. But of course taking the tube will be a lot faster. We will definitely stay here again when we visit London.
Stayed in Lancaster Hotel for one night. The staff were excellent and very friendly and efficient. When we got to our room it was very clean and had a great TV and tea/coffee making facilities. It was a little dated in decor and could do with a few new pictures! We ate in the Thai restaurant which was really lovely and also had coffee the next day in the lounge area which were both lovely and comfortable. There was a little problem with our coffee and scones but the staff dealt with tit well and brought us new hot coffees. I would go back to this hotel as it is in a great area and so convenient to Paddington station.
"ARTea - Halloween style"
Having indulged at the afternoon tea at the Lancaster twice previously, some of my family and friends decided to pay a visit for the Halloween themed extravaganza and we were not disappointed! Although there are still options for the 'regular' afternoon tea and ARTea available in other parts of the lounge, we fully embraced the Halloween theme as did the staff. The area we sat in was decorated with Halloween delights and the tea had a spooky theme. sandwiches, pinwheels, tarts, scotch eggs etc, - all unlimited and replenished as quickly as you could eat them! They also catered for the fussy/allergy requests without a moan and supplied yummy replacements These were followed by a variety of scones, cream and jam and then ghoulish sweet treats. A fabulous afternoon was had by all, we weren't rushed and Ben Purton and his team again went above and beyond any expectations we had. We are now all looking forward to the Christmas gathering and to see what amazing Christmas delights we are presented with.
"Long weekend / pidennetty viikonloppu"
Hotelli hyvällä paikalla, metroasema ja Hyde Park vieressä. Hyviä aamupalapaikkoja löytyy myös kävelymatkan päästä. Allergikolle emme suosittele sillä jo aulassa tuoksuna voimakas hajuste. Asiakaspalvelu ihan ok. The hotel is located near underground and Hyde Park. Easy to even walk almost everywhere. There are good breakfast places near the hotel. I dont recommend the hotel for allergic people because of the wierd perfume inside the hotel. Our room was in 8 floor, end of the hall. You were able to smell the mold/ moisture from the hall. Even though you had the a/c working the smell was there. There was mold also in the minibar and probably in the bathroom sealing... not cool. Also there wasnt so many lights, sometimes too dark' Service was just fine. Yhteenveto: Maksoin liikaa huoneesta jossa vietin vain yöt. Toisaalta hyvällä paikalla ilman "keskustan" hälyä. Summary: We payed too much for this room, because we spent only the nights there. All in all location is very good and there wasnt too much noises from the outside. Ps. Sorry for the bad English.
Arrived in car to a hotel with no door staff. Let myself in and followed signs to the bar. Ordered drinks that came wrong. Slow service and staff that didn't seem like they wanted to be their. Won't be rushing back that's for sure
