It passed my expectations for sure! Best hotel I'd ever stay (and I travel a lot). Would definitely go back.Comment of B. Leyla , Canada the 2015-09-10
"Special Birthday "
Once again my wife and I had a wonderful experience at Le Blanc . Our third trip in 6 months . The beach and looks are beautiful but it is the staff that sets Le Blanc apart. Armando in the international Resturant makes our breakfast and lunch memorable Bringing special chef created dishes and every service quickly and with a genuine smile . Marco the manager clearly has an excellent staff. Elias is the expresso artist we start our day with , 4 layer mochacino ! Victor at the main pool continually offers a smile and above and beyond food and drink service remembering names drinks and my special fresh mango daiquiri. I could name many more but I will after our next trip back . We will not go anywhere else after Le Blanc !
"The butler did it."
As members of Palace resorts this was our first stay an LeBlanc. I have stayed at many of the other Palace Resorts and since our children are grown we finally came here and so glad we did. We upgraded to a Governors suite which comes with a large Balcony and views of the Ocean and the Lagoon. We had this room for 7 days. Our Butlers Manuel, and Carlos were superb. They did so much for us including unpacking our luggage, Booking exercise classes for us, dinners at the French restaurant, ironing a couple of my husbands pants and drawing jacuzzi baths for us complete with Champagne and Chocolate covered strawberries. They were always eager to help us out and made this such a relaxing experience. We moved rooms on day seven to 928 with our new butler Mario who offered the same relaxing service and drew a jacuzzi tub for us with chocolate covered strawberries and two expresso martini's waiting for us. Our new room was Lagoon view with beautiful sunsets and sweeping views. THE FOOD They have four sit down restaurants on the property. All need pants, shirts with sleeves. The Italian restaurant the food was great. we ate here twice. The first night our service was on the slow side the second night they did a great job. In the international restaurant they serve Mexican cuisine as well as American cuisine. Our server the first night was Alejandro was attentive and great. Food was great both days. The Asian restaurant was good we were seated quickly and food is good it serves typical Asian cuisine as well as Sushi which tastes good. The French restaurant which requires reservations and you need long pants and shirt with sleeves. As our first time ever eating in a French restaurant. Manny our waiter offered to take care of us and boy he did. He brought us a sampling of items from the menu with wine pairings and everything tasted great and had fabulous presentation. Our second trip here Ulises our waiter was also fabulous it was our last night at the resort so he suggested we try and signature Dessert and it was probably the best dessert I had had while here. My only complain is The one night I was in the restaurant someone had jeans and a T-shirt which is not what I call dressed up.(to bad the resort doesn't keep at least collared shirts on hand to make him put that on) everyone else even his date was dressed up at least with dockers and collared shirts. Other food choices. On one night which was Thursday's they had a outside buffet set up they were grilling meats, seafood, had a salad bar, sushi set up and many other choices. This was done on the night that we had a circus show. They also have upstairs on the third floor on outside small cafe that is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves for lunch and dinner pizza and sandwiches. We also did walk down to Beach Palace(which is less than one mile away) one night and had dinner at the Italian restaurant. We also one day did the night room service which I am not usually a fan of room service food. We ordered Lasagne and the grouper sandwich. Our food arrived quickly and hot. They wheel up a cart that turns into a table in your room. The staff that delivered the room service was so nice. He offered to go down to the bar and get us a drink. He then delivered two Expresso Martini's to our room. Talk about service. ACTIVITIES My husband and I are active on vacation. They offer at least some sort of exercise programs almost every hour. We partook in Paddle Yoga, Beach volleyball, TRX, Functional movement, Aqua Biking, Spinning classes and Salsa lessons. These were taught by Jazz, Omar and Ambar. All did a fabulous job. One day we did the Turtle release which I have always wanted to do. It was so exciting to be able to release a Turtle into the wild. Our release actually had an Albino Turtle in the group. BEACH The beach has beautiful white sand and blue water but the 10 days we were here the water does have an undertow. The lifeguards are on duty and are dutifully watching over everyone. We rented a cabana for two days which come with Champagne . Our Beach servers marina, Victor, Daniel all worked so hard. My only complaint here is we were here two Saturdays and both of them the service seemed really slow. On the 19th of November I had to ask for a bucket and ice water three times before I got any. The lifeguard finally brought me over ice, and water. I recommend if you like to walk the beach it is an easy walk down to Beach Palace where with your bands you can stop in get a drink, Visit there coffee bar, have lunch and explore the property then walk back. THE SPA I used some of my resort credits and visited the spa several times this trip. I received a massage, facial, and scrub. These were done by Angelina and Aejandra who were great. My Mani, pedi was done by Licette, Galicia also a great job. POOL We only hung out by the pool a couple of days as were are more beach people but I really want to do a shout out to a couple of standout employees, Giovani who seemed to keep the drinks coming as well as Lucinda the towel girl who has the biggest smile on her face at all times.
I have been going to Cancun for over 10 years and was anxious to try Le Blanc. I will be the first to say their beach is in the top 3 of any beach I have ever been on,simply outstanding,as is their main pool area. They have a secondary pool that is more secluded and also has a swim up bar in it. The rooms are quite nice and every floor has a "butler" stationed at the elevator. Sebastion was ever ready to get us whatever we needed and assisted on getting my medication into the refrigator downstairs as the room refrig wasn't meant to be used to keep medications cold. Now here is where our guests and we had issues,it was all in the dining rooms. Since it is a small resort with the pools and beach to entertain clients ,the next big area of interest is the food. They have 4 separate sit down restaurants to choose from. We requested reservations the second day of arrival at the French restaurant ,and they could not accommadate the 4 of us until the nite before our departure and we were scheduled to be there for 10 days. We ate at the International dining room for breakfasts and lunches and since it's a buffet the service was as expected. You might have to wait 20 minutes for coffee but the wait staff was always busy ,so I waited with no problems. The same staff was on for dinner hours and they fell miserably short of a satisfactory experience. Their inability to time between courses and get drinks at the same time was just not OK.One nite it was over 2.5 hours to finally get out of there and it was hardly fine dining. The Italian and Asian restaurants were very good and food was excellent but how often can you eat there for 10 days' After a difficult experience for one of our guests ,we determined that we would be much happier at the Moon Palace where we usually stay. The transfer over there was not smooth as I had expected but Sergio Hueto,a manager at the Public Relations dept at Moon smoothed over many ruffled feathers and should be commended as he is very good at the job he performs well. For the steep cost of Le Blanc I had expected so much more in the food dept. The staff of the hotel/spa at Le Blanc were lovely.
"Wonderful, relaxing, vacation"
This was honestly the nicest place I've ever stayed. I read a lot of reviews before booking, so I had extremely high expectations, and for the most part, they were all exceeded. There are a few, small areas for improvement, but it was by far the best and most relaxing vacation we've had. The staff - I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They were so friendly and helpful and honestly seem really happy to provide such great service! Our butlers on the 8th floor - Carlos and Manuel - were incredible. We ordered a bath, cheese plate and sparkling wine almost every night (I know... how decadent). They were very quick to fulfill any requests we had! Victor and Jeanette by the pool we great - Victor even made sure we had some tequila brought to us at the pool before we departed on our last day. The concierge Manuel was so accommodating and helpful - we changed our schedule around quite a bit but he was more than happy to help us make and change our reservations for excursions and massages. Food - I was really impressed with the food. I loved the fish tacos by the pool, although one day they were missing the Chipotle mayo, but no big deal. The French restaurant was delicious - we didn't have time to do the tasting menu as we were heading out to Cocobongos but I would highly recommend it, as everything we ordered was great and I imagine the tasting menu is even better. The Italian was great too - be sure to order the Flower in Motion dessert. Surprisingly the lunch buffet at the International was really good too - they have all kinds of meat on the buffet that you can have cooked to your liking. The drinks were all good - well prepared and lots of variety. One area that I felt was lacking is the wine selection. It was just OK. Even on the resort credit list, the options weren't very good. But - It's Mexico so maybe there are issues with importing' We did do a wine tasting with Fabian on evening, which was great, but I was dissapointed that none of the Mexican wines we tasted were on the inclusive list. Spa - by far the nicest spa facility I've ever seen. And fantastic staff here. I did a Mayan massage and a 4 elements massage. Both were very unique and things I would not be able to get at home. Definitely use some resort credits on the spa and be sure to arrive early and do the water ritual. Rooms - the rooms were very nice but a little small. We upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival and I am really glad we did. Only the suites have a decent balcony with chairs. It was really nice to sit on the balcony and see both the ocean and the lagoon. The beds were comfortable and the two person tub was a great luxury. Also - small detail - but the hair dryer was really good too! Most hotels have the cheap ones but Le Blanc has a nice, full size Chi one. I had read about the high pressure sales pitch but we didn't have any trouble with that. They had us stop by for our "welcome package" where they asked if we'd like to join in a celebration presentation. We declined because we didn't want to take any time and it was no big deal. We weren't asked about it again. Overall, we had a truly wonderful and luxurious stay and would definitely come back. We ventured to one of the other resorts to check it out (Beach Palace) but quickly headed by to Le Blanc. It's obvious that Le Blanc is top of the top. Tip - be sure to download the app! It makes ordering a bath or making dinner reservations a breeze. Of course, your butler can also help you with that.
"A week of sun and relaxation"
This was our first trip to Le Blanc. We have been to many of the Palace resorts and this one by far is the best. It is adults only and smaller and their is a butler assigned to each floor to assist you with everything you need. All of the restaurants were fantastic and there is no need to eat outside the hotel. Being all inclusive all your drinks and food is included and both were top of the line. Le Blanc is a bit more expensive than the other Palace resorts but well worth the extra. The beach in Cancun is pure white and the water always warm and clear. Well worth a visit.
